Do we plan our life before we were born- I saw this discussion on another thread

My feeling are we do. I can remember when my daughter was about 3-4 years of age,, she gave me a hugs hug and said, 'Im happy I chose you for my mummy' that certainly did make me think.

Great question. Thank you for bringing this subject up.

Yes, I believe we do. Our spirit decides all of which we want to experience in this life, including our life lessons, etc.. before coming to the earthly plane. We also choose our soul group, (our family, friends, acquantances) etc...Some also say we choose our Guides. We do not decide this on our own though, we have help from our spritiual councel. We do this in helping one another in learning our life lessons, to help us in our growth and maturity.  I believe it is all planned as to who and when and where we will meet others and experience events in our life. The outcome is also planned regardless as to what decisions we make during this lifetime. Just as we plan when and how we will return home, all will be as it is meant to be. I tell people not to worry about what is to come, for what it will be as it is meant to.
I am sure that Dyan will have more to add here. I will add more later myself.

But what if what we planned becomes too much to handle once we start living the plan.  Can you quit the plan?  Can you change the plan or are we stuck living the plan.  What if things just get so difficult, you truly believe you cannot continue.  How do you change the plan?[

We do not know what the plan is that we agreed to or what we have to learn here.  But as we approach decisions, if we choose those decisions that help us achieve our purpose in this incarnation, then we will be given the resources to achieve that goal.  And that may include the love and support of your friends and family; someone to help you see the path or the choices that could be made.  it may be that we find ourselves fighting the wrong battle (and boy is it frustrating when i realized this one).  Your path may involve difficulties in this dimension, but you will find a peace when you are going through it.  Though i walk through the valley of death, i shall fear no evil, for thou art with me.  No one ever said life would be easy, but it can be full of love and we can develop a closer relationship with our guides, fairies, angels, ascended masters, and God.

I think we can change our path.  Sometimes we realize the path is wrong.  Sometimes we see another path that would allow us to give of ourselves, and actually grow.  I know my path has changed more than once, and is about to change again.

I am taking courses now, learning all I can about how our soul works - how we process things from childhood - how they twist and become strongholds later in life.  It is a great journey, I am learning so much - have already spoken on this topic twice!

Planning to take several more courses, hereby receiving a Teacher's Certification - where I can FINALLY help other women who have been down the same roads in their lives.  I plan to help as many women as I can reach, empowering them all to overcome our twisted human thinking, and soar above the clouds - where we all belong.

I never realized how many of these strongholds I had in my soul, until I started these studies.  It has been very painful, having to give these hurtful memories a name, and actually voice them.  But once I have done that, they can be processed and those hurts can be healed and I can go forward without carrying them around anymore!  What a freedom!

Please keep a good thought for me, as I embark on this new path.  The RIGHT path for me!  I am so excited about my future for the first time in awhile - I know it is a future that can help make a difference in another's life!

God/Source does not give us anything he does not think we can handle. Our reason for being here on this earthly plane is for our Spirits to learn, grow and experience in human form. We go thru life lessons some times that may not seem too pleasant. The important thing to remember is, it's all part of the plan. When we are grateful and thankful for our life lessons and learn from them as we are meant to, we start to see them in a new perspective. We are gaining strength, wisdom, growth and maturity.

Some may think they have learned from their lessons but in reality, continue to receive the same lessons again and again. Reason being, we have not completely learned from the test and until we do, we continue to be tested. We are to truly learn and know within our hearts and minds, to keep the lessons learned in memory and recognize them so as to not repeat. When we do, we grow and move forward to our next lesson.

Sometimes we go off of our path and follow or are led to another path. Thankfully paths converge and we have a choice/free will of returning to the right path once again. We have free will to make our own decisions. Sometimes our decisions may not be the right ones, but in this we later learn our lesson. We create our own difficulties or make them bigger by the decisions we make. If only we would follow our gut instinct, that voice within that says to do the right thing, or do what is for our greatest good.
