As i looked out my window this morning i couldn't help but smile at the beauty i encountered. There, spread out before me, was the full glory of the morning. Sparkling sunlight filtering through the garden, lighting up a pretty rose covered arbour, draped in blooms at every stage of development, from the newest, freshest pink perfect bud, to the fully opened fragrant wonder. To the left, an ancient wisteria spreads its branches wide, clothed in violet, each blossom dripping down eventually to coat the ground with a carpet man could never fabricate.
It was at this point i had a flashback to many years ago, at least 10. I had moved to a new house and was looking for inspiration in various magazines, trying to find a picture of the garden of my dreams. I found a picture that made me catch my breath, "that's my garden! " i decided. I cut that picture out, and i kept it in a special file, knowing that one day i would see that dream come true.

I have lived in many different houses since the day i found that picture, and about 2 years ago, during another house move, i threw that picture away, thinking, oh well, here we go again, guess i wont be needing this anymore, might as well put it on the trash heap with the rest of the shattered dreams. I was crying as i threw it away, it wasn't just a piece of paper, it was something i truly believed in. And as i sit here looking out my window, i once again start to cry, because i am looking right now, at that picture i threw away, at that dream i believed in, and i realise, I  am living it !

Sometimes, we become so weighed down and distracted by our own lives, and of those around us, and by our own thinking, that we become completely blind to what IS, to what we actually already HAVE. So, to whoever is reading this, i would like to encourage you, to stop for a moment today, and really take notice of what you've been missing, it may have been sitting there right under your nose all along.
It does not matter how big, or how small your dream, what matters is recognising when you are living it, even a small part of it, so go ahead, take a look, surprise yourself !!!

Only Love is Real

SJ,
Thanks for posting this.  Yes, it is true that sometimes we are already were we are trying to get but we need to only "look".  It may not be exactly like the picture we carry around within ourselves, it may even be more beautiful but we get "stuck" in expectations and how think it should be that we can miss the whole thing!

Being in the moment is important, we open ourselves up to enjoy were we are NOW. Roses

Your post painted a beautiful picture ((hugs))

have a beautiful day!

Beautiful.  There is such beauty all around us - and I myself have been guilty of not seeing it.

I spent the weekend at my cousin's home way out in the country.  She and her husbank were out of town, so I was the house/pet sitter.  WOW.  I really did take the time to see the sunrises glisten on the morning dew.  Saw beautiful leaves of varying colors, heard wild animals and smelled the most sweet odors of a Tennessee fall day.  Perfection, just for us.

Things are changing for me, and I am trying to roll with the flow.  Thought I would be back in CA by now, but not yet!  We shall see what transpires in the next week.  I feel BIG things on the horizon.

Love you all,
Kelly
