<flying>Hi everyone - As a newbie I hope I am in the right place for this question.  I have read something quite recently where the question was raised re organ donation.  The author was of the opinion that our organs contained our DNA and for that reason it was not a practice that was acceptable in the spirit world.
I would be very interested to hear your views.  My view is that if this body is only an overcoat I wear in this life and on passing any part of it that can be of use to another that would be a loving gift.  Am now confused re the DNA aspect and would like your opinions as I do not know enough about the subject.  Please Ann Toinette if this is the wrong place for this will you post it to the correct one?  Am still trying to find my way around the site.
Am so enjoying being a part of this forum and reading all the posts.  You are all the most wonderful people.  Many blessings and Angel light, love and hugs to you all.

Open the heart to know the soul

Hello Edith;
I think organ donation is an extremely personal decision and it is not one answer fits all.

I personally believe that i have been entrusted with the care of this body while i am in this incarnation.  If it serves my higher purpose in life to donate a kidney (for example) while still in this world, and it will help someone else, i will do it.  It is not my body; it is God's.  After i have begun the next journey, i have told my daughter that i want her to donate what they will take and burn the rest.  I do not need a hole in the ground and if i can be of service to mankind, then i will.  yes, these organs contain part of me, but so do all the people i interact with.  the thoughts i share become part of them too.

trust your instincts and follow the guidance of your soul.  There is not one "right" way to behave, learn, grow, love in spirit.  We all are individuals and have been led on different paths. But we can share our learnings and inspirations with others.  if it resonates, then they will react accordingly.  If it doesn't, then the message was not for them on their path.  follow your heart - the angels and guides will ensure the guidance is for you.

Love and Light,

Namaste,

Richard

Thank You Richard for your input those are my thoughts exactly.  If we are a part of the whole then surely if our organs contain our DNA,it  is a precious gift to be given freely if we choose to do so. (Free will). Not that I would censure anyone who didn't feel comfortable with doing it.  I am not sure of the connection of our DNA with our soul, that is why I thought it would be a good topic. Maybe someone in the forum will have the answer to that.

Edith,

I completely agree with Richard and feel the same way on the subject. Also your posting is just great where it is. Thank you for posting.

Richard,

I love your response immensely. You are truly a blessing. I feel there is really nothing else I could add as you have worded this wonderfully.

Love and Light to you both, Anne Toinnette

I am with Richard on this.  I think organ donation is a beautiful, selfless gift.  I am definitely a donor.  Smiley

I think our DNA and our spirit/soul are 2 entirely separate things.  I am basing my opinion on books I have been reading over the past few months.   I look at it as DNA being a "human" thing and our soul being a "spirit" thing.

Organ donation can be a blessing to a family who has a loved one in desperate need.  To save someone's life.  Smiley

Love and kisses to all,
Kelly
