I learned Thursday 9/17 that I am autistic. I have given up on Paul and on men in general because I dont see one ever accepting my autistic nature that meets my requirements. I hope I can get into the stable I want and start dressage lessons with the goal to eventually compete someday. I plan to go to school at UNC Charlotte when they are able to accept students again. I also hope I can get the pell grant to go to school.Having someone special in you life is nice but you dont need it to live. I had to go to the mental hospital emergency ward last Friday because I was becoming suicidal. I was stressing out over my life and how it seems like it is not going anywhere at all.

Hello Princess;
My Grandson is autistic.  but it has given him special gifts to just believe and to be able to not be swayed by things of this world.  He is a bright spot in a challenging world but do not think of this as a limitation.  You are the same person you were before a name was put to part of you.  it does not define you.  use the focus to reach the heavens and you will soar with the angels.  You will be where you need to be to achieve your purpose in this life.  God knows the desires of your heart and will provide when the time is right.  Now is the time for learning and understanding.  but remember, the angels are with you as you learn and move forward.  Just ask for signs and they will be provided.

PS. there will be someone who will relate to you as you; with the complete you and love and cherish the person that has entered his life.  And you will do the same.

Thank you Richard. I want to go back to school and major in broadcasting. My case manager thinks she can help me find a tutor for the algebra I need to graduate. Dressage is something I have been interested in since high school. I have a cousin who is a member of the United States Dressage Federation that can grease the wheels to help me get into the dressage school that I want to get into. I hope I can get a job at the Speed Channel which is located here in Charlotte. One of their broadcasters has a daughter who is autistic which means they would be able to understand me better than most.

Sounds like you are really moving forward with your plans.  A small world though. i teach math at the local community college.  And i tutor high school and college kids on math. 

Glad to hear your are using the resources available to you.  When the path is part of your true path, the doors will open and you will find everything just falls into place.  Just have faith that you will be where you need to be, with the people you need to be with.

Mary Beth....Katherine is in my prayers. She has a wonderful mother and mentor in you  It makes me happy to know that she will be one child that will not shut down her abilities due to fear and misunderstanding.
Princess please don't let the doctors label of "Autistic" define who you are, it is just a word....you are a beautiful child of God.

I echo Stephanies thoughts on this and agree "IT IS JUST A WORD", please be who YOU are, a special child of God. Come and have a chat in the forum or in Angel chat, like me you will be accepted for who you are, dont let anyone give you a "label"
