Ready for the next adventure...

« on: June 10, 2009, 02:10:29 PM »

This morning I took my 8 year olf nephew to his basketball camp.  I then went to one of our local parks - a place where I go to walk and read and commune with nature.  I sat in the car and scoured the paper for new job openings as I ate some powdred donuts.  I then exited the car, walked down to a trash can at one of the shelters - to throw away the donut wrapper.  I turned to walk back to the car and to my immediate right I saw a spotted leopard - within mere feet of me.  He seemed to blend in with an oak tree.  I stopped in my tracks, glanced at the spot again and realized he WAS there.

Not sure what this could me for me on my path.  I was not afraid - I was shocked to see him.  He never growled - he only locked eyes with me.

Love to all,
Kelly

The Leopard possesses many animal virtues that are powerful and valuable and which any person would be wise to emulate or divine. One who has the power of the Leopard will see enhanced personal power and self-confidence, gracefulness and stealth are also all part of this noble totem’s magic. Leopards are reserved and dignified animals and do not represent flashiness or flamboyance.

The impressive Leopard Totem possesses the following virtues:
Independence, sense of freedom, steadfastness, psychic-sight, fearlessness, bravery in the darkness, ability to solve problems, leadership without ego, cunning, survival skills, greater spiritual vision, acute senses, clairvoyance, intelligence, prophecy,  integrity, and dignity.
They have excellent homing instincts and can find their territory even if they are taken far away from it

 Reclaiming Power

The Panther, Leopard or Jaguar is a very ancient and powerful totem.
It embodies aggressiveness and power but without solar influence.
A Black Panther’s power is lunar.
People with a Panther, Leopard or Jaguar totem have the ability to do
a variety of tasks at the same time.
They tend to be loners, very comfortable with themselves
and are often drawn to other solitary people.

You must learn to pace your work and not push too hard.
Women with Panther, Leopard or Jaguar totems
often find themselves raising their children alone,
whether it be through divorce or just circumstances of the job.

Panther, Leopard or Jaguar people can develop clairaudience,
the ability to hear communications from other forms of life or dimensions.
They should trust their thoughts and inner visions as they are based in reality.

A Panther, Leopard or Jaguar totems gives you a guide to help you on your path –
in the form of a real person – a mentor or teacher.

Hi Kelly,
This is what I found out about leopards as totems...
Leopard:
Silent, inconspicuous, strong intuitive abilities(inner instincts), overcoming haunts of the past, renewal of vision, helps in strength of inner demons, leaps are about to be made spiritually, mentally and  physically.  Aids in overall sensitivities, communication abilities and movement in dream world and the nconcious realms.  Are you listening carefully of the world within and around you?  Leopard teaches the nuance of hearing you heart and intuition and when and how to react.
Hope that helps.....sooo interesting.
What a wonderful experience!

Many Blessings

Wow, ladies.  These replies are so interesting.  I knew nothing of the leopard or panther.  It all seems very good.

As I said before, the leopard feels like my guardian...he was just sitting there to my right.

I really must try to embody these wonderful traits of this beautiful animal.

Thanks, soul sisters!  You rock!

Love you,
Kelly
