Learning to trust guides?

Hi! I've been having some difficulties and wondered if you guys might be able to steer me in the right direction. I had some trouble with what I'm going to call a demon. I believe Richard and High2life saw him once while we were chatting. About 6 months ago is when I realized something was off in my house, and when he began actively attacking me, but it took me months to figure out it was him. He was quite sneaky and had me believing that it was all me (I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and he hit on every single one of my triggers). Long story short, I had some friends come over and evict him as well as close the doorway he was coming through. My problem is now I'm having trouble figuring things out. He brought up a lot of my PTSD stuff, and I'm having trouble trusting that I'm safe now. Which affects how much I'm able to hear my guides and angels and get their input on things. I'm finding communication difficult and I'm also finding trusting myself and my guides difficult. But spirit activity doesn't lessen. They still find me, while i have trouble hearing them, I can still feel them and quite often I can't tell what emotions are mine or theirs.

My question is... how do you regain trust with your guides? Frankly, I don't understand why this thing was here in my house, how he got in, why my guides couldn't make it leave or keep it out. I did everything I knew, everything I'd ever been told and none of it worked. I used Archangel Michael quite a lot, actually Michael and Metatron are two of my angelic guides (I have no idea how that works that way) and yet it took some live friends of mine to finally get him out. Which leaves me not knowing what to trust. I have nightly visions and dreams I don't know what to do with, spirits still find me and I don't know what to do with them either. I can feel them, but I can't hear them enough to know how to help them. I honestly feel very overwhelmed and I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction to untangling this knot I've found myself in? Oh... I do know about protection techniques and whatnot. I have a basic sense of things. It's just sort of gone chaotic on me. Nothing seems to work the way people tell me it should. lol

thank you, Kelly. I'm not sure he actually was a demon, I only know that he wasn't human.

Oh, I wanted to add... some of you may remember that I posted a while back about psychic attack from a person within a group I use to belongto? It wasn't long after that post that I began to realize that i had something in my house as well, though I highly suspect this thing has been in the house since we bought it. I don't know to what degree the attack from the gropu and the thing in my house are related.

joanne, i remember that night very clear,, and as a victim of deppression i strongly advise that u recieve (if u hvnt already) some professional coucelling, negativity in any form needs a doorway in and your disorder or low self esteem is letting these things through and they are feeding from yr confusion,i am here to help if you need to talk or vent... I also think that you need to name this person that u have accused of persucusion from this site as we all have the right 2 no who or wat we are dealing with and it will also bring some closure for you....POSSATIVE THOUGHTS JOANNE....xoxoxoxo let the light shine through in yr minds eye...you are sure to prevail.....

oh no no no, the person I spoke of was from another group I used to belong to, it was a yahoo group. It was a spiritual development group. not here. I've found nothing but love here. thank you. I am in counseling, I'm also anti-depressents and all sorts of drugs just simply trying to cope while i work through it. My problem is trying to figure out how to stay safe while I heal. To be honest, I'm extremely aware how precarious of a position I'm in with the dark side of spirit. My healing has gotten me hurt and that leaves me frustrated. Because even my angels tell me I didn't do anything wrong.

sorry i must have miss understood and u are right u have alot of love and support here, we all doubt the good things in life.. y is that hmmmmm...u no being in that black hole is the hardest thing and struggle 2 climb out of, probly the hardest thing ive eva done and then not falling back in is a daily struggle also,,i wish i new u personally as i have a light now (not everyday) but a light that shines possativity and ridding myself of all the negativity in my life has been hard also but very worth the outcome..please hang in there as i really no how dark the bottom of that pit is but just remeber that the light is there and u will only find it wen u are ready 2...but wen u do hang on to it and it will grow and so will you..xoxoxoxo

it's funny you say that, about positivity. that's what I hear my angels telling me all the time. thank you. I'll take the hint then. I've been trying to be more positive, but I still sink sometimes. Will have to work harder at not allowing myself to do that.

I don't know if you already do this but surround yourself in the light of Christ and ask that all negative and any energys that are not of the highest vibrations of love are sealed out.   Ask that you only receive that which is for your highest good to come thru.  I am also very sensitive to others and any energies and have a hard time sometimes knowing if its mine or not.    When that happens  I ask that AA MIcheal come and take any energies that don't belong to me away.  What you are looking for you will find inside of you.  Also, you if you don't already, might want to think about writing your visions, thoughts and dreams down in a journal,  It helps to get them out on paper  to see how your feeling and what your experiencing and also helps to release some of the energy in you.
You haven't done anything wrong...sometimes....actually quite often I find these things do happen for a reason, a lesson or whatever you want to call it  lol.  Stay strong...Look into your heart and surround yourself with the light of Christ.  Your guides and angels are around you and are aware of everythng.. speak to them in these times and know that you are safe.

thank you, Steph. I surround myself and my home with the light of Christ daily. The last few days, or whenever I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed by other people's stuff, I do three bubbles of white light and use the violet flame, I wear it like armor. it's a litttle chant a friend of mine gave me years ago. I talk to my guides and God a lot, actually. I tend to tell them everything.

So... the more I hear the more I'm realizing my guides and angels ARE answering me... cause I've been hearing (and unfortunately dismissing) everything you guys are telling me. Funny how that works.
