Journeymakers, Inc. Publishing - Guidelines

We are dedicated to publishing the finest in metaphysical non-fiction and fiction, for adults, young adult metaphysical fiction, and non-fiction, spiritually uplifting and empowering books for self-help, decks of angel cards, spiritual cards, affirmation cards, and other types of divination decks. We do not publish autobiographies or books written in first person. No personal "healing journeys, please.  No science fiction. No religious themes. No wicca based themes.  We do not publish non-metaphysical subject matter. We are not a vanity publisher. In other words, do not query if you are looking for someone to just print your books. We are a traditional publishing house and will offer you a contract. We do not pay an advance.

We represent both new and established authors. Query first by email before submitting any materials with "Publishing Query" in the subject line. We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. Do not include attachments with your query letter. We will not open attachments in query letters.  Please note the following:

* Query by email with a professionally written query letter that gives us an idea of your writing style and states the who, what, why, where, and so forth of your book. Please do not write "I have written a book about __________. Do you want to publish it?" The answer is "No."  We work with authors that are serious about their business.  

 * We will ask to see a book proposal and a formal marketing plan with research that includes what the competition is for your book and what makes your book different. Include in your book proposal the size of your book and how many words your manuscript is, plus its proposed retail price. Do not include in your initial query the first three chapters or samples of your work. If we want to see it we will ask you to send samples.
