1. Linda, you’re a psychic medium and an angel communicator. How did you get your start? Have you always talked to angels?
I suppose I have, but it was hidden for so many years beneath the depression and illness I carried when I was younger. Once I started on a natural healing path, my psychic ability opened up. my physical body once cleared of toxins and emotional survival mechanisms developed in my dysfunctional childhood, opened the connection to the other side. as I look back now the path, even though so difficult, it was truly blessed and guided by the loving hands of the Angels.

2. How did 8 Keys – A Special Delivery Message from the Angels come about?
At the time I was an occasional speaker at the local Unity Church. The Angels woke me in the night and said they wanted to do a series for the coming summer (during that period the Angels were always connecting with me between 1-3 AM. Yes, it was annoying!). I told them I needed to sleep and to remind me in the morning. So the next day, in the morning, doing dishes, they said again they wanted a series of talks for the summer. I was petulant. I didn’t like to write and knew I would have to write all this down. First I heard a name, “8 Keys,” To which I asked, “What keys?” Then it began. I started writing and the “keys” came to life in about twenty minutes. Simple and easy of course!!!

3. What are these “keys?”
The Keys are simple and easy words that have to energetic power to change an individual’s life. Put together they create a journey of enlightenment!!!! They are the power for each of us to create the ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ on Earth.

4. What is so important or timely about these “keys?”
The message is simple and easy. We need this now on the planet, when everything these days seems to be so complicated. The ‘Keys’ allow us to look at ourselves through different eyes, the eyes of the Angels!! Once we see ourselves through the eyes of Love, as the Angels see us, all things become possible. So whether a person has been on their spiritual path for awhile or just beginning their journey the ‘Keys’ can create a miracle in their lives.

5. What is the most important thing the angels want people to know right now?
The Angels want us to know that its never too late to turn things around and you do this by turning yourself around. Our lives are made complicated by what we have been taught by society, i.e., we don’t deserve, love, money…we are born not deserving…that we aren’t psychic and can’t get direct communication from the Source…that life was meant to be complicated and that we have to prove ourselves to be worthy. Not so!!! We are loved unconditionally and the Angels prove that over and over in the ‘8 Keys.’

6. Do you have a special message for those that are having a very rough time?
I think most people are having a rough time right now, so its time to get back to the basics with something simple and easy like the ‘8 Keys.’ Just the first three Keys set you on the path to changing your life: 1st Key: Believe, there is a power greater than you, that resides with in you! 2nd Key: Trust, this power is loving and can take care of whatever negatives you may have in your life. 3rd Key: Detach, turn your situation over to God/dess, and let the Angels take care of the details!!! This is just the beginning of the journey, each Key will take you deeper into Self and to the place of living a life of love, joy, peace, abundance and health.

COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN IN A RELATIONSHIP – WHAT DO YOU DO? By Sophia’s Garden

Communication is key to any relationship and without it the relationship can suffer considerably. There are times, however, when there are breakdowns in communication, where the reasons given seem reasonable…and times when they are not. You meet, things rock and roll, and everything seems to be flowing toward taking a boat ride in the tunnel of love. You talk every night before going to bed, you text off and on throughout the day, you leave “love” comments on Facebook and Twitter and then one day, the bottom falls out of your world because he did not text you, call you or comment you back.

So many clients call me to ask when “BOB” will call since they have not heard from him for XX weeks. We can certainly look at when he is going to call, but I think the real issue at hand is to uncover why he is not calling. Is there a problem in the relationship, has he pulled back or is he simply ‘away in no man’s land’ for a while? Sometimes he truly does have something else to focus on and men, for the most part, believe it or not, can’t multi-task as effectively as women. It is just not happening. However, what you do and how you do it will define how your relationship progresses… or not. So please think very carefully before you act.

So what do you do when he goes into hibernation mode? Do you call him, text him, show up at his house asking him what is wrong? Is he mad at you? How can you help? NO! Leave him alone. Don’t pry, don’t try to get him to open up and don’t try to help him fix anything because it will just cause him to retreat further. And please don’t use this as the time to talk about the relationship to get your own validation about where things are headed with the two of you. Go and do something else for a while. Exercise. Read a Book. Hell, write a book. Do a craft project. Anything…just keep your mind from focusing, thinking, and obsessing about him.

When our significant other, or someone we are dating, pulls back from us it can fire off all of our insecurities, but now is time to focus on yourself. Spending your evenings stalking him on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, driving by his house, etc., is not going to give you any answers, even though you think they might. The answers are only “half” answers anyway. Do you really have nothing better to do with your time? Invest this time in yourself. You deserve it and you are worth it. Watch a chick flick. Or if you are like me, a horror flick. Learn to crochet. Take some online courses. Develop yourself. YourSELF.

So many times clients call me and ask, “But doesn’t he realize he is going to lose me if he doesn’t call me? Doesn’t he miss me? Doesn’t he realize it has been 3 days, 24 hours and 2 minutes since we saw each other?” Honestly, he does not. Whatever it is, whatever he is going through, analyzing, thinking about, tinkering with or working through has his head in a vise grip. Yes, he is being selfish. Yes, he is being self absorbed, but you know what? You should be too!

Most of the time, after the pull back period, your guy will come forward again. Nine times out of ten he was recharging, refreshing, renewing while he was in his “man cave” doing his “‘man thing” which often involves male bonding and quite possibly some bodily functions we don’t want to discuss. When he comes back around he might try to pick it up right where he left off, as if no time has passed because in his mind, which is ruled by man-time, no time has. Sometimes he will give you an explanation, but I would hesitate in demanding an explanation from him.

Try mirroring his behavior. Be the reflective goddess, and please don’t give more to him than he is giving to you as it will throw the relationship further out of balance. Use this time rather to focus on your own dreams, inspirations and personal growth.

1. Jon, what is Taakatism?

Taakatism is a faith, belief or religion. It is a path of self-discovery on a spiritual level. Everybody’s path of spiritual discovery is different, and Taakatism respects that. Taakatism is an accepting and peaceful faith and does not preach. From our main book: “These teachings are designed to help [you] discover your own link to this collective consciousness, [but, ...] remember that you and only you can do this for yourselves. [...] You must find what works for you.” Taakat is Sanskrit and Hindi for ‘Power’ or ‘Strength’ – a reference to the innate power of our own minds.

2. What is the history of it? The origins?

Taakatism originated in India about 500 years ago. After all the teachings were collected together, a council was formed, an this council elected Naabhi Dalajit Gohain as the 1st Shikara (Hindi for leader), who would head the religion. Every 8 years since, a new Shikara has been elected by this council, and this continues to this day. Nowadays, the council members are the heads of the national and regional Taakatism associations throughout the world. The council is nowadays based in London, England.

3. Do you believe in a supreme being as Creator/God? What do you worship?

Some Taakatists do believe in a God, but the subject is not mentioned within the faith. Some interpret the ‘collective consciousness’ tenets of Taakatism to mean that we are all Gods. That is to say that we are all born with innate Godliness and we just need to reconnect with that. Personally, I do not believe in a God. As for worship, the closest thing we have to that is the group meditation sessions often held by local groups. I also personally often hold meditation sessions on my travels.

4. You incorporate meditation and massage as part of your religion. Why and how does this help people?

Both meditation and massage have been scientifically proven to aid mental and physical health respectively. Taakatists have however had these as part of their faith long before this scientific evidence came to light. Meditation is a tool which is very useful in one’s spiritual path and development. Our meditations are mainly based on relaxation and visualisations. Meditation has also been proven to reduce stress and increase relaxation. Massage helps to keep one’s body healthy and has also been proven to reduce stress and is of course very relaxing. We mainly practice Indian head massage, but also back massage and others. The practice of massage is also connected to keeping energies flowing, which aids spiritual development. Both meditation and massage promote health and are complimentary.

5. Taakatism has three main belief systems. What are those?

The 3 most important tenets of the Taakatism faith are the 3 Ethics. These are:

“1. We undertake to never hurt another living being.”

“2. We undertake to avoid recreational drugs.”

“3. If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”

Number 1 regards to hurt caused by yourself, as that is all you can realistically control. This does not therefore require vegetarianism, although some Taakatists are vegetarians as they feel this lessens any possible harm further. Number 2 of course does not include medicines. Recreational drugs are discouraged because they can cloud the mind and therefore hinder spiritual development. These are not hard and fast rules, but instead intended as helpful guidelines.

6. Is there anything else people should know about Taakatism?

A good description of the spiritual path of self-discovery is contained within the book ‘Taakatism:The Path To True Freedom:’

“This is like scrubbing the dust off a dusty lens. This is your true self appearing like the sunshine in the morning to awake you from a dream. In this state of restful alertness, your brain functions with significantly greater coherence. This is to become one with the collective consciousness, and to experience life and our true selves as they really are. This is reality in it’s most pure form. As outlined above, this awakening comes in stages, and the process may be slow, but even a little bit closer is a huge amount gained. It is important to take each step at a time. This is the best way to turn the conceptual philosophy into an experiential reality. The key is not only to become one with the collective consciousness, but to harness and harmonise it. Through this collective consciousness, we can together spread peace in all directions.”

A new day brings with it some challenging questions if we are willing to ask them. Why are we so fragile? Why are we so helpless? Why do we perceive ourselves as powerless? Why are we so full of drama? Why are we so victimized by everything, past and present? Why do we give our power away? Why must we know the future? What has happened to our faith? And what is it that we really want? What in the world makes us whole? What is it that gives us peace?

If you won the lottery would that do it for you? If Oprah came around and handed you a million, would that do it? If you went on a game show that is all about the winning of money, does that do it? Oh yes, it makes life easier here, doesn’t it? But, what does it take for us to give ourselves what we really need on deeper levels? Or have we so convinced ourselves that money, money, money is the answer to all of our problems? We keep putting gas in the fuel tank of our own challenges and possible destruction, whether we get that or not. Isn’t putting gas in a tank what we’ve done for years? We are being challenged now to do something else, to break those patterns and find a different way, and we approach that challenge kicking and screaming like little tantruming children.

You may think by now that I’m some kind of minimalist. Not so. It’s just that the concept of money, it’s importance, it’s meaning, it’s perceived power has become so utterly and totally distorted that we have lost sight of who we are and what money really is. It’s just that if I didn’t have any money, then I would still know how to create whatever brings me what I perceive that I need here. I know who I am without it and who I am with it. Pieces of paper do not change who I am. They may change the way I live, but not who I am. What about you? Who are you?

If you want true love in your life, first give it to yourself. And give yourself that unconditionally. Isn’t this just permission to do whatever you want and then forgive yourself in the morning and hope everyone else does so as well? No. There is a huge difference between these two.

And why are we instructed to put our oxygen mask on first before assisting others? It’s because you cannot help anyone else until you first make sure you are alive and breathing. To do otherwise is to martyr yourself and that’s not your life’s purpose. Honor yourself in every way. Make healthy boundaries if you need to. Figure out what makes you happy and then go do it without fear and without limitation.

Our purpose in life is to love. It’s that simple. When you’re miserable, unhappy, stressed, worried, fretting, and the like, how is this being the love? When we’re blaming others, hostile, lashing out, abusive, self-abusive, taking on other people’s stuff, how is this being the love?

If you want love in your life you have to BE that love and extend that out to others like you would an oxygen mask. Then everyone breathes. Then it returns to you as form made manifest. This is the Law of Attraction.

The next single thing to do is not what YOU want. It’s opening and allowing divine guidance to show you the way. Asking this question is very powerful and opens many doors that were previously closed.

So why is this so hard? Because the ego will tell you that you must do such and such. Remember that the ego is operating from the framework of the learned perceptions and the foundation of a set of experiences. So to ask “What is the next single thing to do?” involves getting out of what you “think” you should do and involves letting go of what you want long enough for that higher guidance to come in. Then, of course, you must be absolutely willing to do that next single thing, no matter how hard you perceive it to be. The human spirit is surprisingly resilient.

Often the next single thing to do is to let go of attachment to outcome and be willing to go on the journey, no matter where it takes you, knowing that all things work to the highest good.

Manifesting is definitely a process, and the sooner we get that the faster we’re going to be able to move forward as individuals and as a global consciousness. There is no magic in demanding, pleading, begging, and supplicating for what we want, want, want. This creates more “want.” It creates limitation because “wanting” is an act of the ego. We do not manifest from ego. We manifest from alignment. To get what we want, we have to let go. Part of the magic is in letting go so that what we want can go up and out and return to us as form made manifest.

We definitely create with our thoughts. Our thoughts have power, but unless and until we learn to implement, integrate, align, and stop trying to tell the universe what to do, we render ourselves powerless.

Think about something: We’ve been taught to repeat and say affirmations. We can say affirmations for the next year all day every day and this in and of itself does not bring us what we want. The truth of the affirmation needs to filter into our whole beings as TRUTH. Until it does so, it’s just a sentence, words, that haven’t yet transformed into form made manifest.

And the more we chase after “making money” the more it eludes us because money is energy. Money is the energy of exchange. When we learn to exchange, instead of demand, things begin to fall into place and the money follows.

Learn to use your thoughts and affirmations as seeds that get planted into the ground and begin to form a system that feeds and nourishes you from the root. The energy of creation is designed to travel upward, gets housed, and gestates, and then culminates into form made manifest. Everything we need to know about everything is here. We have only to look, listen, and implement.

One thing is for sure. We cannot be in our power and be in our fear at the same time. We cannot serve two masters. We have to pick one. We cannot purport ourselves to be one thing and not BE that. To do so means we are only fooling ourselves. To do so renders us powerless within the illusion and image of power.

Choosing to stand in my power has cost me a lot over the course of this lifetime. Did I get value for that cost? Was it a fair exchange? The real value truly is only in the lessons. If I took the opportunities and learned what I was supposed to learn then it certainly was worth it. Priceless, in fact.

And guess what? There goes anger, frustration, stuck and blocked energy right out the door. Wave goodbye, unless you want to stay angry with other beings that loved you enough to play some part in your life’s drama, however unappreciated or unacknowledged as such. Our perceptions can certainly hold us prisoner for a very long time. To be or remain angry is to waste the gifts that were bestowed upon you. Use the gifts, be very grateful for the gifts. To do so brings all your power back to you. And poof! The fear is gone.

I particularly like this quote on page 36 by Angeles Arrien: The world is hungry for the healthy feminine, and the healthy feminine is the feminine that does not move to the extremity. Each one of us has a great dream and a great calling. Many of us have put our dreams on the back burner. We say, “Someday when I have enough time, when I have enough money; then I’ll do what I really want to do, what has fire for me.” At this time there is such a wonderful opening in history, in evolution, if we will just come and take our place.

What I’ve found among many of the indigenous peoples of the world is that they know how important it is to bring our medicine and our dreams to this world. If we want the earth to get better we need to show up and take our place, not with our shrouds of insufficiency, but with our long tall bodies and our deep, deep roots. The warrior’s way or the leader’s way is to show up. And then I can pay attention to what has heart and meaning, which is the healer’s way. I can’t know what has heart or meaning until I choose to show up, until I choose to be present.

Among the shamanic traditions of the world, if you go to a shaman or a medicine person, and you are dispirited, disheartened, or depressed, many of them will ask you one of four questions: “When in your life did you stop singing? When in your life did you stop dancing? When in your life did you stop being enchanted by stories, and particularly your own life story? And when in your life did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?”

Wherever we stop singing, dancing, being enchanted by stories or deeply comforted by silence, we begin to experience soul loss. There’s not a culture in the world that does not have song, or dance, or story, or doesn’t recognize that in the sweet territory of silence we connect to the mystery in our contemplative and reflective practices.

I know I’m not at home when I’m in appeasement, weak-heartedness, seduction, drama or exaggeration. I know I’m not at home when I am playing the martyr or the victim and wanting someone else to be responsible for my life and therefore guilt induce others. I’m not at home when I’m controlling, because the opposite of control is trust.

I am at home when I have fire; when I am deeply connected to what has heart and meaning, the heart’s fire; when I’m seized by a vision that I want to manifest and bring to the sweet face of Mother Earth. I know I’m on fire when I’ve lost time through some creativity, and when I’ve experienced a moment of tender sweetness and intimacy in a relationship that has substance and depth. I know I’m on fire when I’ve connected to something numinous and extraordinarily beautiful that can only be found when trusting in an unshakable part of myself, in a sacred refuge that I can find in my deep interior.

I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Kris Steinnes as she embarks on her Amazon.com launch for her award winning book “Women of Wisdom: Empowering the Dreams and Spirit of Women.” Part of what intrigues me about this book besides the obvious fact that it’s about self-empowerment, is that it’s also multi-dimensional. 1. Kris, please define “empowerment.”

Empowerment to me means you are standing in your inner wisdom, confident who you are, and you know what you are willing to support and what you will speak up to change. You are willing to face your fears and be visible. You will show the world who you are, which will empower others to do the same. What also does it take to be empowered? You need to connect to the universal power, the love and light of the universe that supports us, not personal power. Call it whatever you’d like, God, Source, Love, Allah, etc. You’ll drain yourself fast if you are just using personal power.


2. Please define “wisdom.”

Wisdom comes from knowing who you are, knowing your gifts. You trust what you know from your gut, not your head. So it comes from a deep place inside of you, not from books, and knowledge. It comes from life experiences.


3. What makes a woman wise?

Knowing who she is, being strong and willing to be visible to show the world who she is.


4. Are women less empowered then men, and if so, why?

We are when we’re not wiling to speak up, be seen, be heard, and show ourselves as powerful. When we sit back and let others do it, we’re not in our power. Sometimes we take on an attitude of how can I make a change, I’m just one person, so why try. Or we think we have too much on our plate taking care of our children, our home, in addition to working that we don’t have any more time, let others do it. But everyone has an effect on the world. If you can touch one person by sharing who you are, sharing your stories, you are empowering them. If you know this, you are more willing to share yourself and your wisdom, your power to others.


5. Do both men and women have a divine right to create or is it just women?

Everyone has a divine right to create. Creativity is a feminine trait, that is not connected to gender, but is available to everyone. It may appear women are more creative as we birth new life, An important feminine trait that women have is they are interested in the process, allowing the process to naturally enfold, instead of focusing on the product, the end result. Both are important, but there’s not a balance if there’s more focus on the outcome, if there’s more focus on the masculine or yang in the world. Again that’s not a gender issue, but it can be sometimes. When men and women are both balanced in their feminine and masculine we all are creative and can co-create our new world.


6. How can a woman begin to become empowered? What are the first steps?

One idea I have is to look for people who you see as empowered. Observe them, see what makes them powerful. Acknowledge if you can see it in them, it’s in you as well. So find that in yourself and start practicing being that. Be clear on what you want in your life, be clear on what you want to develop. In order to do that there first is an inward journey to discover your gifts. It helps to have a circle of supportive friends to then practice sharing your gifts, sharing your voice. Practice using your voices with friends who will validate you for who you are. And be willing to make mistakes, keep finding that strength within to move forward in your life as you learn from those mistakes.

7. What is one secret gift that women have?

Do we? Shh don’t tell anyone! I feel that women are coming into their power and are glad they have come at this life time as a woman, as we’re bringing in a new way of being here at this time. That doesn’t mean it’s totally new, just means we’re reclaiming it, bringing it back to our awareness.


If there was one gift I’d say is important right now it’s intuition. Women are often gifted with that ability; it’s just a matter of trusting it and learning how to follow it. Another one is we comprehend the value of community, we know the value of friendships to support us. But a secret gift is hard to define. When I think about that to answer this it feels illusive, like it’s on the tip of my tongue, I know it, but I can’t define it. It’s just an exciting time to be a woman!


8. How can women begin to transform the world?

Women will transform the world when they share their wisdom, their ideas, their different ways of doing things every where they go. We can talk about change and want others to transform how things are, but it’s doing it in our own lives that will begin the real change. If we’re to change the world from a hierarchal world to a co-partnership world we have to manifest it in our personal lives. We have to see where the patriarchy is in our lives and transform those areas to co-partnership as Riane Eisler talks about ,or the feminine co-creator as Barbara Marx Hubbard calls it.

We can’t sit back and think we can’t affect change in the world, it’s too big, so why bother. It starts with what’s occurring in our lives. Where we see things that we feel need to change – in our families, our neighborhoods, our schools, any committee we are in – it’s up to us bring a new way of being, such as circle leadership, sharing responsibilities, changing the hierarchal model to an inclusive one that involves all voices to be part of the process. As we change that in our personal lives, it’ll begin to show up in the greater community, and the world.

Perception and perspective are everything here. These are what we base our choices on, why we buy things, why we go in certain directions, why we believe certain things. Perception and perspective stroll hand in hand on the beach of life and form a basis of why we do what we do. We shape the course of our lives because of these.
We do believe that what we THINK we see is what is real. But there are entire other-realms filled with very real things that we may not believe in because we can’t see them. We even have perceptions and perspectives about these other realms based on what we THINK we know.


But when we form perceptions of something and then view it from our lofty perch of perspectives, we miss what’s really going on. It’s when we’re open to our perspectives being slightly skewed that we have the opportunity to see that bigger picture that I’m always talking about.


If perception forms the basis of our belief systems, then if we change our perceptions, we certainly have opportunity to see a whole different viewpoint.


Here’s where the trouble starts. If we don’t understand that we’re living in an illusion, that everything here is an illusion for purposes of coming together and learning lessons about love, then we make certain that we keep ourselves locked firmly in the prison of our perceptions, whatever those might be.


If you understand how the illusion works, if you understand how energy is designed to flow here, if you let go of what you THINK you know long enough for the mind, body, and spirit to start working together in an integrated manner, then you’ve successfully used illusion to your benefit.


Did I say “use to your benefit?” I did! But that is part of the illusion. If your goal is to use things to your benefit then you are firmly entrenched in the illusion, along with skewed perceptions and perspectives.


It’s when you fully understand your connection to ALL that you realize what real power is.

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: The real power is in the Love. The real power is in realizing the illusion and understanding how it works here. The illusion is for everyone’s “benefit.” And the space of “being” where you step out of the illusion and into the Love is the space where miracles occur. So how do you see it?

There must be things and people that are what they purport to be, right? We need to believe that. We need to encounter the truth along the path, especially now that we’re staring right into the huge and gaping universal eye of spiritual growth and transformation. Just as in growing from childhood to adulthood, this is inevitable. It’s already happening, whether we accept it or not. To make the required leap into maturity, we need to be able to discern the difference between deception and what is true, even if we want to believe the very compelling lie.

Entitlement goes hand in hand with Player as a co-dependent relationship. When you make a choice to take what doesn’t belong to you, play someone, you’re making some very bad karma. If you’re wondering why you are having money troubles then and can’t manifest your life the way you want to, you need to fully examine why you feel entitled to someone else’s fruit. Is it because you may perceive that someone else has more than you do and therefore the world owes you an apple or two? To get out of entitlement, familiarize yourself with the concept of exchange. That’s what has power, not the pieces of paper, not the fruit, not the ability to manipulate and control, to play. Entitlement is a child’s game.

Recently I’ve had multiple emails from people who have been played in one way or another. It’s not just a need to believe and have faith that sets you up for this. It’s also a need to hear what you want to hear, feel what you may have not felt in a while. It’s about some sort of pattern. It’s about some misconception about the way energy is designed to flow here. It’s about upside down ideas about give and take. It’s about a void somewhere inside you. We mistakenly believe we can fill that void with the warmth of a fire from the outside. We can’t. In the Player’s magic bag of tricks is one or two of those 4th of July sparklers that you put on top of birthday cakes. They’re all razzle, dazzle, and show. But they fizzle out quickly and they definitely aren’t hot, even though they seem like they might be.

A really skilled player is capable of fooling you, themselves, and everyone they come in contact with. It’s some kind of narcissistic sparkly insanity at its finest. And theirs is not the kind of fire that warms you. It’s the kind that has the capability to burn and destroy whatever it decides to touch in its all consuming quest to feed itself and keep itself going. So instead of perpetually carrying around a fiery flaming torch for someone or something, consider dropping the heavy thing on the ground and setting the pathway/”world” on fire. If you insist on carrying it, be aware that the only thing you’ll accomplish is attracting more bugs to your light.

There has always been evil in our world. It’s nothing new. And with our technology it seems we are personally privy to despicable acts of evil on a daily basis. What is particularly dangerous to our world, to all of humanity, however, is pure evil masquerading as the Light, pure evil masquerading as the way and the truth. Didn’t we see a similar thing with the rise of Hitler? Eventually evil is taken down and unmasked. Because no matter how intricate the web of deception, it’s still just a flimsy old web, snaring and entrapping things in hopes of transforming itself into something concrete someday. Impossible.

With the current emphasis on “money as power” we set ourselves up for unspeakable evil to operate very effectively in our lives. We set ourselves up to be taken in by slick con artists who have their acts polished to precision. Driven at a primary level by their self-serving narcissistic greed and lust for money coupled with a misguided concept of power, they are capable of fooling everyone, including themselves.

Their biggest mistake, however, is that they believe that everyone, like themselves, is driven at the core by the love and the need of money. They don’t understand anything different. They don’t understand their own karma. They don’t understand accountability for one’s actions on a spiritual level or on this earthbound level in which we live. And maybe they don’t care. They think they get away with whatever they do and therefore fool themselves into believing they are gods or even in their arrogance, godlike derivatives. They are heady with their own twisted “power.” Look at the word “believing” in the previous sentence. There’s a LIE right in the middle of it.

We are perhaps driven by our need to believe in something good here amidst all the apparent bad, to have faith, to hear what we want to hear, and see what we want to see. If we don’t have a good measure of discernment, this is how we get fooled. And sometimes even if we do have it, we can be fooled just simply because we would like something to be true.

When we are attached to what we want, what we want to hear, what we want to believe is true, we render ourselves capable of being fooled into firmly believing that a lie is the truth. When we don’t follow our own intuition about something, we allow evil an opportunity to enter our realm and try to steal that which does not belong to it. We give it permission to use us as its host.

We feed it our goodness for breakfast, as if believing that by feeding it enough of such, it will transform itself. On the contrary, evil will freely take what you give it, whatever you feed it, chew it up greedily, and then regurgitate it vehemently. My advice: just step out of the way. You don’t have to do a thing. Eventually, evil gets caught in its own foundationally weak web of intrigue. And in its inevitable fall, it gets unmasked for the lie that it is. That’s the truth. In the game of good vs. evil ALWAYS loses.

1. Keep going around and around with someone..


When we let someone drag us around and around in something that has no healthy resolution, we waste our life force. Sometimes you’re just done with a thing because you’ve mastered the lesson. Be willing to walk away and see the bigger picture. Objects in the mirror appear larger than they really are.

2. Give your power away.


The power is in the love. If you keep this in mind, you’ll always take the high road even when the low road seems more attractive in the moment.

3. Be fueled by your emotions..


You’re all grown up and have control over what you react to and what you don’t. To let your emotions rule you wastes your energy and keeps you engaged in your old patterns. Driving around in a circle is only entertaining on ice – where there’s a chance for some excitement.

4. Let your ego and arrogance dictate your truth..


The ego can fool us into all manner of illusions. It’s when you can see the real truth of any situation, you are completely free. When you’re arrogant enough not to see your ego and how it gets in your way, you can’t possibly see the truth.

5. Don’t set a boundary.


The best way to be a doormat is to not set a boundary or to set one and then break your own rules because you feel like doing so. Does a fence have feelings? It’s just a perimeter.

6. Be very attached to outcome.


When you’re attached to the way something ends up, you’ve effectively created limitation.

7. Be afraid.


To create from fear is to “negative manifest.” What you don’t want will come barging through your door and try to convince you to be its servant. No one can do anything to you that you don’t allow or that doesn’t have its own higher purpose.



8. Be stubborn and unforgiving..


When you stubbornly refuse to forgive someone, you give them some of your power because you’re putting enough energy on whatever it is to keep you in the position of stubborn and unforgiving. Do you care that much to keep feeding the monster?

9. Be unwilling to move forward..


If you have a tale of woe, you’re being given the opportunity to see the lessons and get out of your patterns. Unless you like to stay stuck in the mud up to your neck, spinning your wheels, see the bigger picture, apply it to your life and ease on down the road. . .hopefully, singing a happy and joyful song.

Whatever you think of the state of the world right now, you are most likely misunderstanding the spiritual message in the current economic crisis. In times of stress and distress, people tend to react with fear and once we start to project fear, we begin to create a spiraling vortex of misfortune. To hold our center, stay grounded and send love to one another may be a challenge in these times, but it is exactly what we need to do.

We are living at the end of a 26,000 year cycle, a destined time mark, when our civilization is radically undergoing change. The large institutions, the banks, the government, the corporate structures will hold on to their status quo as long as they can. They may even begin to react defensively, as we are already seeing with the credit card companies. We have also seen the heavy hand of the government attempting to shore up these structures to avoid all out panic in the streets, but we see the unfairness in what is happening with the bailed out companies. Yet, we needn’t worry, despite all the efforts to maintain business as usual, these structures are going to be overhauled and revamped.

Astrologically, Pluto has moved into Capricorn for the next eighteen years. Pluto always takes out what isn’t serving the soul, and the soul of the people is no longer being served by these structures. Capricorn means big business, markets, investments, corporations, hospitals. Essentially “we the people” have been enslaved to way of life that breeds more and more illness and stress. The idea that the energy we call “money,” or more aptly “abundance,” is limited and scarcity reigns is an idea whose time is over.

People losing jobs, homes, savings and insurance protection are forced into creative thinking. We need to look at this phenomenon as liberating. Already thousands of people have created new companies and services to increase consciousness and they are working online. People are asking themselves what do they really want to do for work. Work needs to align with the soul. The market on the Internet is extensive and one need no longer be tied into a forty hour week schedule and a tiring commute to the office. Whenever there is crisis, the people with new ideas and thinking outside the traditional box, are the ones who create new visions and then manifest them. We need to remember that the Chinese character for challenge is also opportunity.

During times of upheaval, whether it is through natural disasters or intentional attacks like 911, people draw together in community and begin to see where their real values lie. Superficial material concerns dissolve and the important, essential necessities of life take preference. People are known to share, to provide service, to shelter one another during these crises. Humanity has created an opportunity for change on the most fundamental level. And the Spiritual Universe will not permit any more shenanigans. We will be seeing more and more exposure of corporate crime.

The wealth of the world has been held in the hands of a silent, invisible few who have controlled the population at large. But new light has raised the vibrations of millions of us here to desire earnestly a peaceful world, to hold the vision and to begin to band together to rediscover our atrophied intuitive powers. It is imperative that each of us begin developing a spiritual practice to commune with our higher selves.

The Age of Aquarius will be an era where justice becomes the foremost value. We may expect to experience chaos during this transition. That is why it is necessary to become aware that this is not just another cycle that will play itself out, but the groundwork for an entirely new and infinitely better global society; a society that we may not have thought possible. Indeed, until the present era, it was not possible.

The most important factor will be the perspective you take as you see the old world crumbling. Clinging to what is bound to change is futile. The traditional media and other stalwart institutions will do their best to unhinge our beliefs. But conservative thinking will only prolong the growing pains and increase fear. Technology has offered us ways to communicate in large groups and the power of the group vision will create resolutions to our problems. We will unhook from the structures that have held us at their mercy. Destructive intentions will no longer be supported. We are learning the natural laws of the universe, such as the law of attraction, and we are going to see results from our intentions that serve the whole rather than the few.

We may not yet be sure what steps to take, but in the moments when we need to know, we will go inward and find our answers. There is an old Zen saying: “When you don’t know where you’re going, go the way you don’t know.” Let us hang onto our faith in our own goodness and our ability to create peace. It’s the only thing we haven’t tried. Support is here from the spiritual dimensions. Ask for it. Give permission to be profoundly changed and watch your world change with you. We need to remember we are eternal spirits in bodies. We need to remember “The meek shall inherit the earth.”


We do not need to know how. We need to visualize the outcome and desire it, and trust that it will come. This is the greatest passage in the history of the earth. Let us love one another, share the vision, join in the collective community of faith in nothing other than ourselves. Aquarian values favor the group consensus. Find a community in which to share your best vision of what our world can and will become.

I grew up in Beverly Hills the only daughter of two-physician parents with twenty-five physicians in my family. From age nine, I had dreams and intuitions that would come true. I could predicts illness, earthquakes, even the suicide of one of my parent’s friends. This confused and alarmed me, as it did my parents who were entrenched in the hard-core rational world of science. At first they tried to write my intuitions off as coincidence. Finally, though, after I dreamed my mother’s mentor would loose a political election–which to my horror, came true–she took me aside and told me, “Never mention another dream or intuition in our house again!” I’ll never forget the look in my dear mother’s exasperated, frightened eyes, nothing I ever wanted to see again. So from that day on, I kept my intuitions to myself. I grew up ashamed of my abilities, sure there was something wrong with me.

Luckily, I’ve had many angels in human form who’ve pointed me to my true calling as physician. In the sixties I got heavily involved with drugs in an attempt to block my intuitions out—not something I’m recommending to you! Following a nearly fatal car accident at age sixteen when I tumbled over a treacherous 1500 foot cliff in Malibu Canyon, my parents forced me to see a psychiatrist. This man was the first person who ever “saw” me–not who he wanted me to be, but who I was. He taught me to begin to value the gift of intuition, and referred me to Dr. Thelma Moss, a intuition researcher at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. She was to become my mentor and guide to developing my intuitive side.

While working in Thelma’s lab I had an amazingly specific dream which announced, “You’re going to become an MD, a psychiatrist, to help legitimize intuition in medicine.” When I awoke, I felt like someone was playing a practical joke on me. I’d never liked science, and I was bored around all my parent’s doctor-friends. I was a hippie living in an old converted brick Laundromat with my artist-boyfriend in Venice Beach, working in the May Company’s towel department. (I’ve had a great love of towels and sheets since!) The last thing I envisioned doing was medicine. But because I was beginning to trust my intuition, I enrolled in a junior college just to see how it would go. So one course became two, became fourteen years of medical training–USC medical school and a UCLA psychiatric internship and residency.

The irony was, that during my medical training I strayed far from the intuitive world again. Traditional psychiatry equates visions with psychosis. Working in the UCLA emergency room, I’d keep seeing psychotics who were wheeled in screaming, strapped to gurneys, accompanied by cops with billy clubs. These patients professed to hear God and to be able predict things. They also felt their food was poisoned, and that the FBI was on their tail. No one tried to sort through this mishmash of claims. Typically, patients would shot up with with Thorazine, hospitalized on lock-down inpatient units until their “symptoms” subsided. Seeing this so many times I doubted whether it was safe or appropriate to integrate my intuitions in medicine.

When I opened my Los Angeles psychiatric practice in 1983, I had every intention of it being traditional; I’d use medications, psychotherapy, but I didn’t intend for intuition to play a role. My practice was extremely successful. Since I was a workaholic and also loved helping people, I had twelve hour days, though very little personal life. But then I had a heart-wrenching wake-up call that changed everything. It was an intuition that a patient, on antidepressants, was going to make a suicide attempt. Because she was doing so well–nothing supported my hunch–I dismissed it. Within a week she overdosed on the antidepressants I’d prescribed and ended up in a coma for nearly a month. (Had she not survived I would’ve been devastated.) The hardest part, though, was that I thought I’d harmed her by not utilizing a vital piece of intuitive information. This was intolerable for me. From then on, I knew, as a responsible physician, I had to integrate my intuitions into my work.

After this episode, my journey to bring intuition into my medical practice began. I didn’t know how I’d do it, but I put out a silent prayer to the universe to help me. Soon, I began meeting people, more angels, who showed me the way. Gradually I grew comfortable with my intuition, set out to write “Second Sight.” This took me seven years to complete because I had so much fear about coming out of the closet as an intuitive. I was afraid of what my physician-peers would think, that they’d mock me or blackball me from the profession. My mother warned, “They’ll think you’re weird. It’ll jeopardize your medical career.” Ah Mother: I loved her, but thank god I didn’t listen. Finding my voice as a psychiatrist and intuitive has been my path to freedom.

Sure, there’s a risk when you stretch yourself, but the rewards are enormous. Now, I’m blessed to travel around the country giving workshops on intuition to auditoriums full of extraordinary people–health care professionals and general audiences–who long to embrace their inner voice. I’m heartened to see that many physicians are eager to deal with patients in the new way I offer. I gave an intuitive healing workshop at the American Psychiatric Association convention, a annual gathering of the most conservative psychiatrists in the world. I’m pleased to report the response was wonderful.

I’m sad to report that my mother didn’t live long enough to see this. In 1993 she died of a lymphoma. But, on her deathbed, she decided to tell me our “family secrets.” She told me, “I want to pass the power onto you.” I was astounded to learn that I came from a lineage of intuitive healers on her side of the family–my Jewish grandmother who did laying on of hands in a shed behind the pharmacy she and Grandpop ran in Philadelphia. East coast aunts and cousins I’d never met since I grew up in California. Also, my mother, herself, had a strong inner voice which told her how to treat patients for over forty years. Interview with Alysa Baceau, Dreamshield:

1. What is conscious dreaming?

Conscious dreaming is dreaming while being aware that you are dreaming. Another name for conscious dreaming is lucid dreaming. If you dream consciously you have control over events, or at least the realization that you can control the situation. There are techniques to learn this and I describe these techniques in my book, “Dreamshield.” There will be a day when you can instruct yourself to dream about something, for example; to fly like a bird or to meet a deceased loved one.

2. What is astral traveling?

Astral travelers can have the sensation of having an existence separate from one’s physical body, and being able to stand outside of oneself, looking at the reality from another view point. Astral Travel and out of body experiences (OOBEs) are similar to conscious dreaming. But, it is not the same because conscious dreaming is the art of controlled dreaming. I understand from what I’ve read, Astral traveling happens spontaneously. That doesn’t mean a conscious dreamer can’t have the same sensations and experiences as an astral traveler and vice versa.

3. What is a shaman?

There are many definitions of what a shaman is but in general you can say that a shaman acts as a medium between the visible world and the invisible spirit world; getting in contact with the spirits of the beginning and to pick up (among others) information about and for purposes of healing.

4. What is an assemblage point?

The assemblage point is the ultimate place of perception. Call it a concentrated sense of perception. It is usually, but not necessarily located at the height of the shoulder blades. The assemblage point should be flexible instead of being fixated. To give an example: children don’t perceive the world as fixed as we do, they are more open for dreaming and creativity. As soon as you start to learn and understand the meaning of the words, the assemblage point starts to fixate more and more. The more definitions, the more solid your assemblage point. In the course of years, a child becomes more and more fixated on the definition of this reality, and when you become fixated you lose more and more capacity to look to the world with an open mind.

5. What is a totem and what is its significance? Please give us an example.

There are many definitions for a totem. In my book, I mention totem animals. They are entities and guides I met in a ceremony to be my roadmap leading me into totality. My dreaming teacher Vidar explained that the spirits of totems enlighten your potential. Besides being your guide to totality, the totems represent a certain cosmic knowledge which gives insight into your capabilities and which you can perceive in your energy field even after the ceremony.

6. What is the difference between a dream and a vision?

If you master your dreaming, ordinary dreams will come to a halt (I describe this process in my book) and will be replaced by the dreaming of the spirit. Ordinary dreams come to a stop and disappear because they are primitive and take up too much energy. As you master your dreaming, you will have dreams of medicine and visions that guide you into the totality.

7. Should people journal about their dreams and why or why not?

Learning to dream consciously really starts with attentiveness, being aware of your surroundings and your actions in daily life. By writing down your dreams and including all the details, it what happened in the dream becomes more clear and that gives you an overall awareness. From my experience if you consciously deal with your dreams, you will find out that your dreams develop and you become conscious in your dreams.

8. Can we use dreaming to effect healing, and if so, how?

There are various methods to use dreaming to effect healing. In my book, I describe the technique to heal your inner child because during the process of mastering conscious dreaming you can take the challenge to face your spiritual, physical and emotional blocks and work to release them. Letting go of these blocks gives you the experience of freedom and with freedom you can experience totality. At that point one discovers and become consciously aware that you are the creator of your own reality.

In 2004 my ex-husband ran me down with his car, beat me from head to toe and rammed a hatchet into my head several times, leaving me with severe traumatic brain injury, multiple internal injuries, and post traumatic stress disorder. Dear “Friend:”

When we’re having a rough time, it’s easy and natural to want to escape into a friendship or romance. The truth is we can’t look to the outside to fix our life. We must fix it ourselves. Happiness comes from inside, not out, no matter what our circumstance. It’s true that people can be bright lights to us in our dark hours and there’s certainly nothing wrong with that. It’s just that Spirit asks that you find the light within.

I have been going through very difficult financial times over the last 1½ years and through it all I have remained positive and have put my trust and faith in God and the universe to provide and guide me to a better place. I am sitting here frustrated today as at the moment I seem to be going backward no matter how hard I have been working and praying and keeping an open mind for guidance. I feel hopeless because after today’s setback I feel like giving up. I feel it’s enough now. I have struggled long enough to make things turn for the better and to start going forward in life. Dear Jan:

So many have been having such a challenging time over the last few years, especially when it comes to finances. We are all being challenged on this major course correction to get money in perspective as the energy of exchange, not as power, and to create our lives in different ways than ever before. I understand completely where you are and how you are feeling. I understand your frustration.

Start with “Do I have everything I need for now? Am I safe? What needs to stay and what needs to go in this transition and reorganization period?” Also: “Where am I trying to go? What is the underlying belief system that brought me to where I am now?” And “Who or what is my Source?” Know this: Nothing stays the same. Everything is always in a state of change, no matter how it appears. And from Voice of the Angels-A Healing Journey Spiritual Cards, the card Island-Sunset:

“The sun that’s setting slowly
Is but a glimmer of what’s to be
Know that as you go along now
An ending is a beginning for thee.”

We may not be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, particularly when we’ve been struggling along in the dark for so long. When we’re so tired, our eyes tend to stay closed. But it’s definitely there. And too, the more we struggle and thrash about in angst, the more we prevent and impede “rescue.” To keep yourself in the present moment – which is where we manifest from – ask “What is the next single thing for me to do?”

Also ask yourself how you can RIDE the waves instead of becoming overwhelmed by the feeling that they are much bigger and more powerful than you are with the ability to crush you. I feel that the months of June, July, and August bring great and welcome change for us all. I hope that helps, Jan. Thankfully, we are almost at the end of this.

I mostly wanted to thank you for the email I received this AM from you. The email came at a time when I am extremely depressed about my life and my situation. I feel like I am totally lost right now. I have recently become unemployed and question if I should continue on the same career path. I have
not had any dreams lately so I have felt like I have gotten off the right path somewhere down the line and really don’t know how to get back on it. I’m sorry to hear of your situation. You certainly aren’t alone in it, unfortunately. As a global consciousness, we’re engaged in a course correction. When we’re lost it’s important to know that we aren’t alone in that either. The place to start to come back into alignment is to examine things at the root. Do you enjoy your career? Is it what you came to do? Is it your life’s purpose?

It’s important to note that while life gives us temporary challenges in which we may find ourselves very uncomfortable, we are still safe everywhere we are. Also, about the people praying for you…while prayer is good and desirable, it’s also true that when we put a lot of energy on anything, and fuel it with our own ideas about how things ought to show up, we do have also have the power in that to create that which we don’t want. I pray to Azna every day, and I have set up an altar to her. I talk to Archangel Michael always and thank Mother and Father God every day for my blessings. I think sometimes that they are probably tired of hearing from me. I have been sent signs that my prayers are heard and will be granted but still nothing has happened. What should I do? Am I being too impatient? I dream constantly of my skin peeling and I see myself always dressing in new garments. My circumstances seem to be stagnant. I am afraid to feel hope for fear that it is just wishful thinking. Dear Penny:

No, you aren’t a crackpot. You are definitely hearing your angels and guides. Dreams of skin peeling and wearing new garments indicate, like a snake shedding its skin, a new way of life. That’s good! Penny, when we’re so attached to things showing up our way or energy moving with the push of our prayers, desires, and supplications behind them, nothing much can happen. We get in our own way by trying to control things.

What should you do? It’s very simple. Let go. We cannot tell the universe what to do, despite our ideas to the contrary. Allow your guides, angels, and God to work in your life by letting go. I have an example in my book Money and Manifesting about taking what you think you want, writing that desire on a balloon, then tying the thing to your finger. Now try to get dressed. You will find this is in your way. Obviously, then a person would figure out that they have to then let go of it. So let it go.

But what most people do at this point is let it go in the confines of their house and then follow it from room to room demanding, praying, and putting every ounce of energy on it that this balloon turn into the thing they are trying to manifest. How can this turn into any kind of form made manifest? It can’t. It will remain a balloon with the thing you “want” written on it and will eventually deflate.

What you can do instead is take it outside and let it go up to the heavens and trust that it’s going to return to you as the thing you really want – as form made manifest – not as a deflated piece of rubber that hits you in the face on the way back down to earth. Penny, just let go. You’ve already told the Universe what you want, correct? Let the Universe help you by just letting go.

Let’s say that we are a child with a broken toy. We take this toy to our parent and ask them to fix it. Do we then put every waking moment on following the parent around and telling them how to fix it? If we knew how to fix it, we would have fixed it ourselves, right? Give your situation a little time to be “fixed.” And trust that it will be so.

We get to choose whom we do certain lessons with. When those lessons are left undone, we can feel a certain attachment to them. For whatever reasons, you didn’t finish the agreed upon lessons with your ex. That’s why it’s haunting you. It’s not that God hasn’t released you. It’s that you haven’t released yourself. Ask yourself if you ran away from your ex and if so, why? Then ask yourself if you can do these unfinished lessons with anyone else. Then ask yourself what you’re doing with your current husband. These are things you have to examine, Angela, if you are to move forward. Hope it helps.

Hello Ann:
In our society we tend to view food as “love.” Of course it’s not, but that’s the underlying belief system. If you look at that word you will notice the “lying” contained in there. It’s a lie. Overweight in spiritual terms is basically just protection. You were protecting yourself from your cruel mother and other trauma.

Now we get to patterns. Since you couldn’t “get” love from your mother by eating, in other words, the core spiritual issue remained unresolved, you just attracted a familiar pattern by working in Fortune 500 companies. We encounter opportunities to heal issues that haven’t been resolved by simply attracting situations that will give us a forum to do so. Painting is wonderful therapy because it opens up the emotional body in ways that other things cannot. It’s another opportunity to heal.

The way to release the old coping patterns is first to understand the base of the matter, which I just told you. Then to understand that releasing patterns is a process. Then to understand about love. We cannot and do not get love from the outside. We come in here with love in every fiber of our being. Then we are taught certain things that may take us away from the core of who we really are. Right now you’re just making your way back to the real you. Basically it entails “unlearning” whatever has been taught to you or that you have previously perceived about love.

There is another important thing to understand. Our birth contracts are all about love even if they don’t look that way or feel that way. It’s important to understand that we live in an illusion that was created for the purpose of learning lessons in love. I know it doesn’t feel like that. But that’s what it is.

You see, your cruel mother and you agreed to do this lesson because it is about love. That’s the truth. When we’re up in the holding chamber with our soul group before we choose to incarnate here, we make agreements. It goes something like this:

Mother: “I love you so much.”

Ann: “I need and want to learn some very important things about love. Will you teach me?”

Then you agree on the best way to do this.

Ann: “Mother, will you agree to show up as this very cruel person, so that I may have every opportunity to learn about loving myself?

Mother: “Ann, you aren’t going to like that very much. You will probably forget how very much I love you and think of me as a horrible, cruel person your whole life.”

Ann: “I know, but can we please do this lesson together? It will help me remember the love that I am.”
Agreed.

You see? It will help you to move forward if you are able to see the role your mother has played here and why. It’s all about love even if it doesn’t look like it or feel like it. I’m not saying that here on the earth plane that all of the things that you’ve endured are not valid. They are. However, it’s all about love. I hope that helps you, Dear One.

Stalking energy is very strange, isn’t it? What would cause a stranger to be so obsessed with someone? This situation you have here is karmic. On the earthly side of things, I’m not clear on whether or not you were able to get a restraining order. This might help. On the spiritual side of things my advice is to go into a meditative state, not just a state of visualization. Go into a deep meditative state and call this person’s spirit to yours. Ask her spirit what needs to be healed here. Do this until you receive a definite answer. That answer might be in layers. In other words, there may be more than one answer, so you’ll have to keep doing it until you get to the very root of the matter. Her spirit wants and needs something from yours, so be willing to give it to her to end this karma. Also while you are in this meditative state, take a look at the etheric cords that are between the two of you. Then unplug them. Do not chop them. Gently unplug. As you do so, close up the “socket” so that a reinfestation of energy hooking into yours cannot recur again. You must do this for every cord you unplug. You may have to do this across several sessions. Then put yourself in a golden white light and put your shields up. Again, you may find that you have to do this several times. Let me know how it goes.

 In May I had an astrology reading done which informed me of many changes coming into my life especially my love life.  The astrologer pinpointed when the contact would occur and the circumstances surrounding it. It did happen. We came in contact via e-mail and exchanged three e-mails, upon which I sent him my pictures and another e-mail saying hello to his personal e-mail.  I haven’t heard from him since July 9^th.  

And without being too pushy how can I determine whether or not he is not interested anymore, or maybe he hasn’t received my e-mails?  I have read many astrology reports since then. They say that we are “companions of destiny.”  The astrologer told me that sometimes you have to reach out and grab your destiny and that it would be up to me.

Our initial e-mails were done through a particular website so I don’t know what happened and should I pursue this matter?  The Angel card readings told me that all is moving accordingly and that new love is coming to my life, so what seems to be the obstacle?

You have a beautiful name for a beautiful soul. I agree with the astrologer that we do have to reach out for our destiny. I also find that when we are attached to outcome, we do block our own path. Blocking ourselves in this way is definitely an obstacle to getting what we want. This is where I think too that there are certain cautions with which one should approach any reading. “Destiny” does get affected by free will. It’s something important to keep in mind.

Energy shifts and changes with free will. Then everything that follows shifts and changes from that as well. It’s the musical dance of the universe. But everything, everything always works to the highest good. So we have to be willing to accept a situation either way it shows up. This allows for energy flow and keeps us out of that attachment that is so fond of blocking our way.

We do have many soul mates here and we have them for very good reasons. These are aspects of the same soul. If one doesn’t work out because of free will choices, then we have opportunity for the same lessons with another aspect of the same soul. If that is confusing, begin to see yourself as a multi-dimensional being with many realities throughout the universe. If that is confusing, just know that we have opportunity to meet many that we have deep and what we think of as ”soul mate” connection with. There is just not necessarily one perfect, ultimate person for us. Everything is a lesson in love, with or without “soul mate.”

With regard to your question about whether or not you should pursue this, I vote for maybe one more email, then go on about your life. If he doesn’t answer, then as they say, he’s just not that into it. Move forward then. I find that people do make time for whatever it is they decide to make priority. You deserve to be priority. Be open to the possibility of love showing up, but in a different face. In this way, you allow it to happen, probably when you aren’t even expecting it. It’s sort of like a nice cosmic gift for lessons learned.

Could you please give me some spiritual guidance on my problem? I recently discovered I am pregnant. It is the result of a one night incident that should never have happened.

I’m completely devastated and don’t know what to do, I’m obviously no longer with the father, I’m 41years old,..too old to become a mother again, I have children from my marriage…all in their 20s and I don’t think they’re going to be happy with my news either.

I do believe that God doesn’t send a child into this world without a reason but I don’ think I can cope with it either. I did take the “morning after” contraception pill and still got pregnant. I now have the added worry that something will be wrong with the baby because of this.

My heart goes out to you in this very challenging situation. The first thing that comes up as I read your letter is that forty-one is not too old to be a mother. Examine where this belief system comes from. Do you really believe that? I do understand that your other children are all grown and perhaps you feel that you don’t have the energy to raise another. But examine instead if you’re just afraid and examine also what you’re truly afraid of.

I’m with you on that God doesn’t send a child here without a reason. You have to ask yourself if you’re willing to find out that reason. It’s ok to say no. We do have free will. I think the bottom line here is that you have to decide whether or not you can accept the baby with unconditional love. That’s the bigger picture for you in this situation. That is what this lesson is all about.

Guilt truly is a useless emotion, as it isn’t forward moving and keeps you stuck right where you are. We make choices and then we live whatever those choices bring. We have the choice then of accepting the results or making ourselves sick with guilt about our decisions.

You can’t go back. You can move forward, however. I just don’t feel the morning after pill did anything to the child, but you can get tests early on now to see. From here, I don’t see anything amiss. It seems like the child just wants to incarnate and you have chosen each other.

But like everything, there has to be an agreement. That agreement constitutes and offer and an acceptance by both parties in order to be in effect. It’s a choice to choose not to raise the child or to raise it.

Again, it’s truly a lesson in unconditional love for yourself and for the child. It’s also a lesson in choices and consequences. If you can’t come to unconditional love, then the clear choice is adoption. When you can come to unconditional love, then I believe you will find each other.

I also have the feeling that if you did not carry the child to term, that somewhere inside yourself you would be even more heart-broken. I have pointed out the bigger picture and lessons here and I hope they help with your decision. I do know that whatever you choose to do, God will bring this to the highest and best for all.

One day while walking to the post office a small blonde woman walked up to me and said “You’re an Angel.” I looked at her and said “No, I’m not! The woman said again, “You’re an Angel! I just shrugged it off as this woman was a nut!

Another day I heard a voice loud and clear: “You’re not here to collect things.” Two years ago we lost two homes, but things are getting better. Recently I became a Realtor.

If I don’t give my daughter what she wants then she doesn’t have anything to do with me. It hurts. Stuffing these feelings is easier than dealing with it. My husband and daughter don’t like each other.

I’m torn. On one hand I have the desire to make money so that I’m independent and can do what I want, like travel and see things and new people. On the other hand I feel like I’m being punished for not doing something right.

I have a feeling that these thoughts are from the ego. It’s like nothing is happening. Relief and hope are just around the corner…Life is a beautiful experience. Not sure where I wanted to go!

Dear April:

There is a lot here in your letter. Let’s try to get to the root of it. We make choices about what we want to learn here before we even incarnate here. The woman in the Post Office was giving you a message about what you came here to do. It’s good that you know that everything is a lesson, because indeed it is. It’s all a lesson in love. And you know that too because you mention forgiveness as an important aspect in your life.

I encourage you to not continue to stuff your feelings down. This is a good lesson is self-love. It’s just not healthy, and this is where we create disease. Feel your feelings whatever they are. Honor them.

Be clear on what is your issue and what is your daughter’s issue. It appears that she’s in entitlement and uses manipulation. Get to the root of why this may be so. Examine the patterns that are underneath these behaviors. Examine your part in them.

Where inside yourself do you feel you have “failed” and why? In this illusion that we live in, it may seem as if there is “success” and “failure.” However, these are illusions of this world. If you always go to the bigger picture, if you always go to “What is this lesson in love really about?” then you keep yourself moving forward.

Money is an exchange. We get pretty funny about it because in this illusion we’ve ascribed great power to it. Really, it’s pieces of paper fueled by our perceptions of power. The energy that you’re describing is the “not good enough energy.” This energy resides in the 2nd chakra. This is the “birthing” area. When we have blockages here, we find it is challenging to make form manifest – birth our creations.

My advice is to familiarize yourself with the chakra system and in so doing you will be able to get to the root. That’s when you’ll see your life come into alignment and balance. And you will find that you’ll be able to create your life in any way you choose.

I came across your website and your cards really are beautiful. I have been in a dilemma for quite a long time. I performed a three healings not really knowing what I was doing and the results were good. I asked the angels to send me a teacher but no one has arrived. I constantly feel the need to be involved with children to help however I am unqualified. When I look for possible jobs prospects these positions will take me away from where I reside. I guess my concern is how do I really know these thoughts are divine or ego based? I feel they are divinely based but the fear of relocating family and moving away from family does not seem correct. I have been waiting for signs or something to give me a clear direction. Time is passing by. So I guess what I am asking is this where I take a leap of faith and completely trust in myself and spirit that the choices I make will be divinely led.

Thank you for the compliment. Teachers come in many forms. Perhaps teachers have arrived, but you did not recognize these opportunities as such. Perhaps divine guidance is speaking to you but you did not recognize it as such. For example, your healings can be “a teacher.”

Truth has an unmistakable frequency and vibration. Think of things you know to be true already and think about the feeling associated with such. When something is true, you just know it. You feel it. This is what will help you discern the difference between and ego based thought or a divine guidance. Ego based thought always includes some kind of attachment to outcome.

Often when we are attached to outcome, we get in our own way as well. Fear is completely immobilizing and fear blocks the way forward. We should always trust completely in ourselves and our choices because there is no wrong way. All paths converge to take us where we need to go. Now is the time to take the leap of faith. Face the fears and trust in yourself and spirit and your choices at all times. Things may not turn out the way we are attached to them showing up, but in every choice is a teacher, a lesson and divine guidance.

I just blew up my credit cards in a large amount, thousands of dollars for an educational program which turned out to be a real punch in the stomach. When I saw what I had done by being so needy and insecure with myself, I had a numerology report done. That said I had been led astray in some spiritual  practices (I think I followed my negative ego here) and that I would be put in a position to test my faith (where I absolutely have to have faith).  I believe that is why I have put myself in this position. Now I will have to fully trust spirit and listen as well as I can to what I hope is from my guidance and angels, and not dwell on the appearance of financial failure which is where I am…if I am looking at my life situation. So my question is this…in a number of angel readings it says that I am in a holding stage and patience is needed that my prayers have been heard and I will be taken care of not to rush into any rash decisions.  What should I make of this? I need to get some money soon.  I’ll admit going out and applying for just any job is daunting in itself, but if I am to believe that this guidance is right and not to put my faith in the appearances of no job and no money, what should I be doing? Just believing that the angels will let me know the next step? I mean what if I can’t hear what they are trying to communicate? Your problem is multi-layered. At the root of the matter is money as self-worth. So you have to get to the root of who taught you the bigger lesson of money as self worth. Then you’ll be able to see why you are “needy and insecure.” It’s really not that you are those things. It’s that your view of money is distorted. Believe it or not, there is no such thing as financial failure. There is definitely the “appearance” and “illusion” of such based on learned perceptions and perspectives. Money is an exchange. It’s what we’ve chosen to exchange with here. It doesn’t define who you are. And yes, we will definitely put ourselves in certain situations to give ourselves opportunities to learn who we are. That’s what happened here.

You’re trying to figure out who you are. You’re trying to learn to trust your gut, your own intuition, your guidance. You’re definitely right about that. You’ve kind of just outsmarted yourself, or did you? You see, we can go on path A or path B, but the lesson is going to be the same. And yours is about learning to trust. It may be helpful to go back and figure out when you first learned not to trust. That will give you some keys to moving forward.

What you should make of angel readings that tell you that you are in a holding stage is to learn to use that time wisely and learn to delve into the bigger picture, because there always is one. You see, it’s not an excuse to wait to be saved. It’s a direction to introspect, to get to the root of the matter. It’s a suggestion not to go and buy another educational program that leaves you again in the situation you’re in now. It’s a direction to examine the patterns in your life that led you to where you are now, and patiently await changes that you make on the inside to reflect in your outer life. It takes us a long time to get where we are. We can’t undo it all in one minute.

I believe that your prayers have been heard. Absolutely. Know that you are being guided, are safe, and protected. Now you have to do something. You have to take action and KNOW that you will be guided in the right direction. That’s where trust and faith come in. Trust that you will pointed in the right direction. But then you have to be WILLING to go there.

I am at a crossroads! Now, in order to manifest true abundance and prosperity, you need to be in alignment with your life’s purpose and be willing to create from who you are. Contrary to what has been taught, we can’t just poof these things out into a tangible result with just the power of our mind. Think about what’s in the way of you creating your life the way you want it. Think about what’s in your way of creating a situation where you either work from home, you take your child with you to work, or you employ someone to come into your home and caretake the child, perhaps. There are many options, but you first have to get to what’s in the way of that. I hope you can see this message and I hope you can help me through this. I have been without a proper job for almost two years, last year I entered a high school and was fired one month later.  Since then I have been teaching private tuition with no social benefits, nor paid holidays nor insurance. Previous to this I taught languages at a University where I worked for 13 years.

Yesterday I was offered a job in a different city, two hours away from where I actually live. I have a little house in that town so moving wouldn´t be so hard. What worries me is that I would be teaching high school students once again, and I really had such a bad experience last year. So I´m really wondering if this would bring another failure to me. I need the benefits this school is offering so I can have a proper retirement. I´m 57 years old and I´m not easily offered jobs at this point in my life. But I´m so very much afraid of being disliked by the students. I´m not a nasty person. Quite on the contrary. I think they abuse my being easy going if I can say so. Examine first what you feel is truly in your way. If you had everything you need to move forward, what would that be exactly? You see, you have to figure out what you PERCEIVE is keeping you stuck and go from there. You already know that you wish to get into the field of nursing. Now, what keeps you from that really? Once you have that you’ll be able to move forward. When we get out of our perceptions of how things are or how things work, we have forward moving energy. We create our lives the way we have for a reason.  And there is always more than one way to do something. Look for it.

To connect with our angels isn’t difficult. Can we hear what someone is saying from the other side of a crowded and noisy room? Not very well. So the first step is to quiet the chatter of the conscious linear mind through meditation and breath work. Then listen carefully and don’t doubt. They’re there.

I know now I handled it incorrectly by allowing insecurity and fear to create jealousy when there shouldn’t of been any- he was with me – he had chosen me and I blew it by freaking out.  We had gone so far as to introduce our kids to each other – and both of our kids loved the other one – my son is very upset still over the breakup – but I don’t know honestly if I will ever hear from him again. 

We work together – but not at the same location – I am just wondering – I can’t get over him and I can’t contact him – so now what??? Because I do know I am miserable without him.  I have been trying to believe the things he said when he broke up with me are true and he meant them – and I have tried to move on by going on dates with other men – but really in my heart I just want him back – I have been praying and manifesting and hoping with everything in my heart and soul – so any advice you have would be most helpful.

There is so much here, but it isn’t about manifesting, my dear.  Contrary to what was taught previously regarding manifesting, we do not manifest from a place of “I want.”  I understand your heartache. It’s an awful feeling to break up with someone, especially when there is a soul mate kind of vibe as there is here.

 One of the very first things to understand is that your former boyfriend has free will and there is no amount of “manifesting” that will bring him back.  Again, this is not “manifesting.” The way to get resolution here is to let go of what you think you want. This opens a pathway for the universe to bring you what you need.  It’s challenging to do when we are attached to outcome, and have such a deep emotional bond.  But do it you must. That is what will move you forward.

There is another very important thing here and that is that you are beating yourself up and blaming yourself for the breakup. This is non-productive at best and is a waste of your life force energy. Long distance relationship or not, if what you had together cannot withstand a “bad day,” there’s a bigger problem underneath.

 If two people cannot have open and honest communication without fear of a total and irreparable blow out, then one must ask oneself why one attracts a relationship like this? Look to the patterns of other relationships and see how and where they are similar. That gives you keys to why certain things are acceptable to you. And you can move forward from there.

I recently signed up for an on-line Aromatherapy course.  This was a pretty important step for me as I finally made a decision that would help me change the path of my life.  The class was cancelled due to not enough interest. Your situation is an excellent example of how the universe points the way for us, in spite of what we think we want.  It’s good that you like to examine things, because that gives us so many keys.  Now to figure out if an aromatherapy course is the right thing for you or not, examine the reasons you were led to this in the first place.  You want to change the path of your life. Does an aromatherapy course do that? Perhaps it does and perhaps it doesn’t.  Examine why you wanted to take it in the first place. It may be more important to look at deeper issues too, such as “Do I always second guess myself and why? Do I always follow my intuition and why or why not? What am I afraid of and why?” Examining these helps bring you into alignment with your purpose. When we have alignment of purpose, we end up having synchronicity and things just unfold easily and effortlessly. You can look at this situation as an unfolding of sorts as well. We are led. We have only to be willing to go on the path. You are and that’s good.  Second step:  look to why and where you don’t believe your guidance. I understand your pain and I’m so sorry to hear of it. To move forward from this experience, you first need to try to get it into perspective. When we’re hurt, it’s challenging to get anything into perspective, but do it we must. Try to see the bigger picture. That picture is that we agree to come together with certain people in this lifetime to learn lessons in love. That’s all it is. Everything is a lesson in love. You still feel connected because on a soul level you know this person. Your spirit remembers that you agreed to do this lesson. However, we have free will. We cannot make someone else remember the agreement or engage in the agreement. So this is why you’re feeling this pain. You know on some level that you’re supposed to do this work. He doesn’t. And this creates a distortion in the fabric that creates “pain.” Please try to let this go and know that this lesson in love will come around again in a different form once you let go. It’s very important that you take this time to show love to yourself as well. Take all the love you showed this person and now show it to yourself. When we love ourselves, our light shines out brightly in the world and attracts the loving relationship that we seek.

I have had some serious problems for the last three years, I met a wonderful man 7 years ago from England,we got married. It was divine connection with us. He is a good man, and I am good woman. I sponsored him to come to America. We were happy as two little kids.

During that time, My father who was my best friend, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Then I found out they were about to foreclose on his farm.  Well my husband gave up all he had, and I gave up all I had to help my dad out. But it was too late. They foreclosed on the property.

I was devasted, and the news about my dads health threw me. My husband was my rock. We moved to Texas taking my poor dad with us, to move in with my sister. My husband was going through the immigration process. It was extremely difficult time for us. My dad was so ill.

My husband and I didn’t like my sister to much, because she put us in a very diffcult situation, She didn’t tell us her home was foreclosure and that her husband was leaving her. This was far too much. The pressure was mounting on us and causing a great deal of stress on us and our marriage.

Later we moved out into our own place. We found a little peace. But my husband and I were taking care of my dad full time. The doctors told us my dad had only three months to live. I died a million times during that
period. My dad suffered. I hurt so deeply for him. Because I loved him so much.

My husband, I love with everything in my heart. He has stood by me. But something happened along the way. After my dad died, He decided to move back to England. I didn’t disagree with him. I missed England, I missed my husband mom an family. He went back and I went with him to visit. He got his old job back, and moved in with his mum. I fell out with my sister and family. I was grieving so much, I couldn’t rest. I didn’t have any money, No job, and no home. I stayed in England for 5 months.

I couldn’t understand what happened to us. I told my husband I would get the funds some how to join him. But I couldn’t get a decent job that made any money. I ended up working for UPS part time. thats all I could get. One day on the job I passed out. They rushed me to the hospital. I found out I had cancer of the uterus. I was pregnant. But the baby wouldn’t survive. I had to tell my husband this news. He didn’t believe me.

I asked my husband to come and see about me. He wanted me to send him a ticket. I didn’t have the money. I didn’t know how to tell him. He stated he had no money to come…I died again. it seems I have had so many obstacles in my way. I lied to my husband about having money. Because I was so insecure. Now he wants to divorce me. He says he loves, but not in love. I don’t know what to do now. I don’t want my marriage to end. We are good together. It seems like we never had a real chance at real happiness.

Dear Marriage:

This is heart breaking. How sad.  I’m sorry to hear that you have endured so much. Bless you, kind soul. I’m sorry for your losses. Grief and loss is part of why you are finding it unbearable to now be facing a possible divorce. It feels overwhelming. My advice is to first address the previous and unresolved grief around the loss of your father and the loss of your unborn child. Then try to come into some kind of place of acceptance of all that has happened. Things always happen for a reason, even if it doesn’t seem like a very good one at the time.  In the face of adversity we do grow strong. Allow things to unfold. There is MUCH peace in acceptance of whatever comes along on our journey. Please try to get into that space. It’s not a space of giving up. It’s a space of peace.

About two years ago I decided to go deeper into my Spirituality and Healing. When we’re questioning everything we thought we knew to be true, it means we are in transition. This is from my book “The Book of Daily Channeled Messages:” Transition is that noisy, crowded, and perhaps uncomfortable train station where everyone else seems to know which train to get aboard. Just know that after you get your bearings, you’ll be able to figure that out too. In the meantime, there are two rules: (1) Don’t hop aboard the first train that comes by just to be going somewhere and (2) Don’t let anyone push you onto the tracks.

E, in order to move forward you have to get to the root of what it is blocking you. This doesn’t seem to be a time issue. We know this because you seem to be blocked at the root. You are out of alignment with your purpose. We create, and manifest from the root and from who we are. The rest follows. So it seems to be a fear issue. Fear gets in the way of faith. Examine what it is you’re really afraid of and exactly why. Do you feel unsupported? Are you afraid of being who you are and doing what you came to do? Are you afraid you are not up to the task? Are you afraid of how your life’s purpose will show up in the world? Are you afraid that it won’t bring you exactly what you need? Examine your definitions of success and failure. Examine who taught you these and what their belief systems were/are. And most importantly decide if they are your truth or not your truth. This is what has the power to move your forward. When we have times like these, I find that it is helpful to view the time as a great gift, even if it doesn’t seem so. While spiritual crisis can be confusing, it definitely has its merits.

I have been seeing rapid dark small spots or whatever they are moving in bedroom at night. I think my cats see them too. What are they? Energy in motion maybe? If so, why do I see them? And I also get a weird feeling inside me, sort of a ringing in my head, not ears. And I can feel like I can close in. Can’t explain it. It’s kinda scary, and I make it go away. I’m 52 years old. This is very interesting. Someone just sent me their book entitled “Eye Floaters as Shining Structure of Consciousness.” I’ll be reviewing in it in the Fall issue of Voice of the Angels.com Magazine. I believe that part of what you’re seeing is consciousness energy associated with consciousness and awareness rising. However, I also believe at the same time that these are real entities you are seeing. Sometimes we see them just because they realize someone can see them and hear them. No you aren’t crazy. Personally, if it were me, I would sage in the bedroom, do some other clearing work in there, and if they make you uncomfortable just tell them to go away, as you are already doing. Try binding and rebuking them in the name of Jesus. Jesus has dominion over such. Then refuse to engage with them.

I relate to the girl who wrote and said she didn’t want to be here anymore.  My question is I was abused and raped in the past. And it seems no matter where I move I am mistaken for someone else.  Do I have a double or astral traveling and don’t know it?

Whenever our root chakra is damaged in the manner of abuse and rape, we can have trouble grounding ourselves here to the planet. I hope you seek some counseling for this. I believe EMDR would help you a lot with this.  But in the meantime, it’s important to ask yourself, “What am I doing here? What is my purpose? What did I come to do?” This will begin to help you align, commit, and re-ground yourself.

As to being mistaken for someone else, you most probably are astral traveling, but I don’t think that’s what this is about. We have many soul mates, many people we’ve agreed to meet with and do things with. It just seems as if you’re running into these no matter where you go. It’s a reminder to do what you came to do. I often say that we can move ourselves geographically, but we can’t really ever get away from who we are.

Relationships are a core issue, a root chakra issue, but also obviously involve other parts of ourselves, such as the heart. A healthy relationship involves our whole self. You are definitely on a spiritual journey to love and accept yourself at a very intrinsic level and on all levels. True. I’ve often said that the soul mate is not the person that comes in to complete us, but it’s the person that comes in when we’re already complete within our own spirits. We do also meet many soul mates here.

Everything is a lesson in love and we do have free will, so we can’t make a soul mate engage in a lesson with us, even if there is agreement to do so on a soul level. That’s what makes some of these lessons in love so challenging. It’s like we know the person, we recognize the person, but yet they run away from us, leaving us hurt and bewildered at their words and actions. Try to understand what’s transpired here in this way. By his free will he has decided not to engage in this lesson with you at this time. It’s not about you. It’s really about him.

If we love someone unconditionally, we allow them to simply have their journey, even if it isn’t the journey we want them to have. In this process we also learn to love and accept ourselves unconditionally. That’s the bigger picture. You’ve heard the saying “If you love something set it free and if it belongs to you it shall return to you?” This is the same thing I’m always telling people about letting go. To let go doesn’t mean that we don’t care. It means that we care enough to have unconditional love and trust in the universal process of our desires returning to us as form made manifest when we do let go. To do otherwise, disempowers us and blocks our own way. I hope this has brought some peace to your situation.

I came across your site basically whilst looking for answers.

My question I guess is, if my path is clear and open, and I am at this new phase in my life, and I am being protected and kept safe, then do I trust my instinct regarding my future? Or do I be a little reckless? Or just do what makes me happy?

I am an academic and have worked for many years as a counselor, healthcare lecturer. Studying does not come easy to me and I have to work really hard, but I have always wanted a more hands-on calming career that involves massage, aromatherapy, Reiki, and beauty. But people are looking at me as if it is a step down!

Thank you for finding us here and connecting. And yes, indeed angels are with us always!  No doubt about it. Now to answer your questions: There are a couple of really big things involved here and these underlie your whole issue.  If you can clear them up, the confusion will dissipate and the path will become clear.

The first one is to ask yourself why you wouldn’t trust your instinct regarding your future.  While you’re examining this, look to the underlying pattern. Look to the times in your life when you didn’t trust your instincts and then examine what followed. And see if you can identify where the urge to be reckless may have originated from. For example, as a teenager, if someone told you that you couldn’t do something, did it make you feel as if you wanted to go out and take risks even though your instincts told you otherwise?

Also look at who taught you not to trust your instincts and why.  This is the root of the matter. We create from our root and if our root is blocked in this way, we find it challenging to create much of anything.  And consequently we end up feeling stuck, blocked, confused, and find it challenging to move forward.

The next thing I see here is that when we let other people tell us who we are we really get off our path and become misaligned. This blocks the flow of energy necessary for co-creation. We need to learn to validate ourselves.

 I understand about people looking at you as if it’s a step down. People tend to formulate a perspective of a person, and then have trouble seeing them in some other way.  We do this because as humans we have tendencies to need to label and classify things so that we can understand them from our own belief systems, perceptions, and perspectives.  As humans, this is also very limiting for all.

We need to learn to be secure in who we are and our choices and our instincts. It doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks. It only matters what you think. You are in charge of defining yourself.

When we’re aligned with our purpose, the rest follows. Everything falls into place. We cannot NOT be who we are. We’re living in a time period where the universe is truly asking us “Who are you?” So you must begin by asking yourself whether at a fundamental and root level you are a lightworker or an academic.

Then, of course, one could take it all a step further and ask oneself if they could combine the two.  Combining different aspects of ourselves is really a big key to turning the recipe of your life into one very unique, tasty, and very satisfying dish, rather than some boring thing that may look good and may feed others satisfactorily, but does nothing whatsoever to assuage our own hunger.

I was facing many blocks and began to read your Angel cards, along with some other literature, I was soon learning how to ask for help and started to recieve signs. Anyway this morning when I woke up I was rubbing my eyes and through the darkness I was overcome with a visualisation which was a kelidescope of the most beautiful colours with shapes of golden and white light orbs and Angels with different colours around them. It gave me the most fantastic feeling I have ever felt and I just wanted to thank you for your BEAUTIFUL website which has become a daily part of my spiritual journey.

I have not been able to share this with anyone as I am sure they will think I have gone cuckoo!!I am hoping to build further on my relationship with my Angels, guides and spirit, I am so going with the flow. I have never felt so at peace.

As crazy as this sounds I don’t feel like I belong here on Earth. Everything seems so foreign to me that is supposed to be normal. Take for example relationships. I try to act normal and say I want to date and fall in love…but in reality the entire idea to me is weird and uncomfortable. Also, violence and the way people treat each other I just cannot understand it and if I do hear or see anything like this it deeply affects me and I cannot bear it and feel responsible for it.

Many times I do want to leave here. I feel like the oddball out and I hate it. Sometimes these feelings get so intense that I just wish I could leave already. I feel like okay, it’s been great but I want to go to where I really came from and let this “vacation” end already because I have had had enough time experiencing all of this. I know this sounds nuts because I even have a difficult time believing what I am saying to you, but it’s true.

I have looked up the term star child and at times I wonder if that’s me and who I truly am. I have been told that I am an Earth Angel by more than one person who never knew that the other said the exact same thing to me and also with me opening a book up to an exact page with that message in it. If I am what’s the point of feeling this way and going through life in such a manner?  I am not trying to put labels or limitations or myself with stating this,but rather showing you where I am coming from.

I am not sure how to conform or be myself without being viewed as a freak which is what I get at times with my fascination with angels, and other metaphysical beliefs that I spend time learning/reading about. A lot of people I know don’t get me and who I am and have changed into. What can I possibly do to help myself and overcome these deep feelings of alienation?

I hope it’s helpful to know that I understand completely. It’s not as crazy sounding as you think.  You’re just missing “Home” and that’s OK. Beings from the angelic realm volunteered and were sent here to Earth to help hold the grid, and to try to help shift the deep-seated negative vibrations of this planet, for many reasons. One reason is because the way people comport themselves here is affecting other beings and planets. So it’s very simple: Beings with strong and loving vibrations such as you have, were asked to come here to help negate the negative energy that comes from the way people treat one another here.

In fact, I just said this very thing to my husband yesterday. I said that I cannot stand the way people treat one another and their inability to see the bigger picture of what they do. Many here are stuck in what they “think they see.” Just know that you are not alone and there are many “Lightworkers” who feel exactly the way you do, even if they don’t say so. The point of being here is not to feel alienated, strange, and different, but to hold a point of Light to the planet. In other words, if you truly see the bigger picture, then you must begin to try to live the bigger picture.

Now, what can you do? The first thing is to focus on connecting with like-minded people, such as in our Voice of the Angels.com forum.  The second thing is to try to let go of what other people think of you. I know that can be challenging, but you can do it. Validation must come from inside, not outside. Just be comfortable in who you are and begin to align with your life’s purpose. You will have to do some soul-searching to figure out exactly what that is, but once you find it a lot of what you’re feeling right now will dissipate.  

The earth-bound ego will tell us that we need to be a certain way to fit in. The ego will tell us that we need other people to stamp our parking ticket. But that’s the illusion. You’re OK. There isn’t anything wrong with you, but you have to come to know that deeply, firmly, and undeniably inside yourself so that you can do the work you came to do.  When you focus on that – living your life’s purpose -  a lot of the outside stuff falls away and become unimportant.  Learn to love yourself Angel, because when you do things will begin to fall into place.

Our guides and angels makes themselves known to us in different ways and what you’re experiencing is just that. Music, bells, sounds, smells, sparkling light – these are all gentle ways of communicating their presence to you and these things are processed with the emotional body, rather than with the conscious mind. It’s a way of communicating in a non-linear fashion. To use our spiritual gifts we have to be able to consciously relax the conscious mind so you can “hear” the non-linear communication. Your angels and guides will communicate to you in your dreams as well as the way they are communicating now.  Here’s one way of looking at it: you’re being “awakened” because you’re “awakening” to your spiritual self.

I have been lost spiritually for years now and have been looking for inner peace since my last miscarriage 9 months ago. I am afraid that I have chosen my spiritual path through my dream and do not fully understand all the implications. In my dream, I was with a group of women that felt like friends. We were celebrating some thing in a hotel. We were sliding on a water bed and decided to go an indoor pool. I was in the water alone when an elderly man asked my belief in god. I replied no thank you, I choose the middle path. The water level dropped half down. In my dream I thought this is weird and I looked down and see my hand toiling a string in the water and making the string move in snake like movement. I felt like I was content with it. Does this dream sound like I am walking farther from God? Please help, Dear Dyan.

There is a lot of symbolism in this dream. There is a lot going on here. Yes, it does seem as if you are walking further from God. But it’s not just that. The water here symbolizes life and it’s as if you’re walking away from your life. You’re living half of your life, but you may seem content with that on the surface. The water also symbolizes the miscarriage, the loss of half the water (as life), and the hotel symbolizes being away from “Home.” 

It seems as if there is some kind of fear of believing in God or believing in the spiritual side of things even though you are a spiritual being.  It’s as if you don’t want to believe or accept that part of you because you’re angry and don’t want to believe in a God that may disappoint you or has disappointed you, or that you may disappoint by feeling that you can never measure up to some required perfection.

Examine why you are spiritually “lost.” When exactly did that start? And then examine your concept of “God.” What we have here is the illusion of separation. Examine who taught you the concept of “God” and examine your own current belief system about God. Try to embrace the spiritual part of yourself, not as something separate from who you are, but as part of who you are. Clearly, you are guided and protected, even if it does not seem so to you. It’s true. We do get to choose our path, and we never walk it alone.

Today I was sat at my computer and all of a sudden I noticed something tiny floating up from the floor on my right hand side, I looked and followed it with my eyes, and it came right in front of my face, and just hovered there for a few seconds.  At first I thought it was smoke or something, but i caught it, and when I looked it was the tiniest softest whitest feather i have ever seen.

I have to tell you that as you well know there truly are no “coincidences.”  The woman I told you that I met on another site, Lynn who is from my home town…well I was drawn to her for a reason.  We started to ‘talk” via e-mail…..I immediately “knew” things and began to share them with her…It was amazing…I haven’t even used your cards yet…..I am looking forward to using them to channel messages for her.

I actually believe that I can “read” for people and for you when you feel that I am ready. As long as I keep my “ego” out of it and try to interpret the messages for people.  Lynn shared with me that she has had some experiences with her “radio” so to speak and was looking for support since her husband dosen;t believe or support her in this and it is hard to find people to share your feelings about this with as well. 

I hope you don’t mind, but I shared my letter from Oct. to you and your responses from your Dear Dyan Column.  I see a lot of me in her…she is where I was when I wrote to you.  I read the letter again and your responses……Dyan I wanted to cry as I read it……..When I read it now, it is like looking at a different person…that person who wrote that is not the person I am now………

Your kindness, guidance and Divine Grace have helped to transform me for the better, VOA is a haven and home in which I can be supported and continue to learn and grow…..I have met such amazing, loving people because of you and your co-creations…..

Baby Angels are good! Baby angels are cherubs. They can signify more than one thing. Their presence could signify a need to be more playful in your life, to capture the essence of childhood in all that you do, and/or to heal from childhood wounds.

Also, baby angels could be around you to help you with the concept of motherhood. Their presence could signify to heal any remaining issues with your own mother, if necessary, and to examine your own concept of motherhood and childbearing. Also their presence would pertain to any child that you lost, gave up, or otherwise did not bring to “birth” here, and also would pertain to a “child knocking.” That would mean a child or children that have not yet incarnated through you in this lifetime.

Baby angels around you could also pertain to the birthing of a creative idea, rather than a physical child.  Baby angels are playful and loving, as are all angels, of course. But baby angels are gentle, sweet, childlike, and deliver their messages in perhaps surprising ways…as in “from the mouths of babes.” Remember, angels are messengers and any angelic presence around you is always trying to communicate important messages to you. We have only to listen. Hope that helps!

I hope you can help me. I’m so lost because I suffer with anxiety which is ruining my life. I put on a lot of weight which is getting me down. I don’t have the energy to get out and lose it. I’m so sorry to hear of this. I can feel your pain all the way over here. It’s important to understand where physical pain comes from. This starts as perception outside the body and then filters in to the physical body eventually. To solve it and move forward, just like everything else, we must truly get to the very root. It’s the same for anxiety. So it would be important to try to examine where this pain originated from, if you can. It is also important to understand that it is not your “fault.” But get to the root and face whatever it is so you can have a platform for healing.

Next, Spirit is telling me to tell you to get you thyroid and adrenals checked. If these deficiencies do not show up on a traditional medical test the first time, then you need to seek alternative treatment. This would be through a naturopath, a homeopathist, and/or acupuncturist. There is help available and I know it’s challenging to do anything when you don’t feel well. But Spirit is emphatic that you take care of this now, no matter if you think you don’t have time, money, or resources to do so. Please do it anyway and the rest will follow.

Also, there is something you can do in the meantime that will be very helpful too. Begin to understand stress and anxiety as “inflammation.” And when we have inflammation, then we must do things to soothe and calm that down. Learn to use the breath as a tool to “cool” that inflammation. Find ten minutes to lie down and follow your breath through your body as you watch it calm things down like a balmy breeze or the healing breath of Angels. Feel the healing entering your body and allow your guardian angels to help ease the pain of this physical incarnation on all levels. You are very, very loved. You are safe. Take it in.

Karma is a very interesting subject, and is often misunderstood. In a way we could say that all of our relationships are karmic, because we’ve agreed to all of them before we came here. And so also in a way, we could say that there is no such thing as karma. Whenever we find ourselves having a difficult, challenging time, we have to look more to patterns than to karma. Our conception of karma implies that it’s “payback” and if we look at it that way, this perception keeps us as victims. Really karma is a balance, rather than an eye for an eye. Moving is a choice, my dear and the thing is that we can move ourselves geographically, but our patterns and lessons definitely go with us. In your case you have to get to the root of the matter. It’s not about asking what you did wrong to deserve this treatment, however. It’s about asking what you really need to learn from these situations. That’s the question. And once you have the answer, you will find the “karma” disappears. My CD Connections is all about karma. Feel So Lost, Am I on the Right Track?

Dear Lost:

I’m happy to hear that you have joined the forum!  I look forward to connecting with you more there. Wondering what the purpose of our life is here is something that everyone ponders. Whether we realize it or not, everything here does weave together exactly the way it is supposed to. When we’re focused intently on something, it can block our path depending upon whether or not we’re attached to the outcome. And when we let go, we find that things start showing up.

When we are very attached to outcomes and insist on doing things our way, rather than in synchronicity with the universe, then we do also block our forward progress.  However, I don’t feel that someone should ever stop learning. Yes, I agree that the tapestry is still in the weaving process for you, yes. The best piece of advice I can give you for now is to learn to accept the things you cannot change, change the things you can, and be willing to let go of any attachment to outcome. Let things develop as they do.

The gift of life happens in every moment whether we realize it or not. If you wait to live your life until amazing things happen, you’ve missed your life. Truly. You can begin to create the life you desire in any given moment. Things change from the inside first, rather than the outside. Figure out how you want your life to show up. Then figure out exactly what needs to change in order to make that happen. Then figure out why or where you are either willing or unwilling to do whatever is entailed in making those changes.

Bless your heart, I feel your pain. Awwww. Love is the strongest power in the universe. The answer is you don’t stop loving. Ever. Without love, we are nowhere. When we truly love someone, we love unconditionally. And that includes being able to step aside from our own wants, needs, and desires to accept and honor the other person’s journey, wherever that journey may lead them. There is great and profound peace in simple acceptance. So, don’t stop loving him, but transform that love into something higher. That’s the challenge here. Know that his decision to move to China is part of his learning and part of his journey and also part of yours. Everything is always for a reason, even if we do not see or agree with the reason.

We do want the best for those we love.  From an earth plane perspective, when we focus on something other than our heartache and emptiness and begin to reach out a helping hand to others, we then have a platform for healing the pain. When we extend ourselves to others we open the flow for love to return to us. If we’re dictating how we want that love to return, we are telling the universe what to do and thus blocking ourselves in all areas.

Dear Dyan,
For over a year I have enjoyed your positive and spiritual site.  I would visit every morning and enjoy the Angel  Readings.  The past few months, I have been busy and seemed to have veered from my morning routine.  Today, I
was drawn to visit again.  I happened to read some of the Dear Dyan posts and saw that you were a psychic along with your many other talents.

Yes, I am clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient. In addition I’m a voice recognition psychic and a trance channel. I was awakened to these gifts at about three years old. 

Over the past few months, I have been having some visions, and “feelings”.  In the past, these were simple”flashes,” a picture. For example my young son (he’s 4) was with my husband supposedly at a friend’s house.  I saw a flash of my son falling off the back of a boat into brown water.  I called my husband and asked where he was…he was at the friend’s boat and my son jack was on the back without a lifejacket.  My husband was a little freaked out by what I told him I saw. 

It is important to note that we were not dropped off here on the planet with no way to “phone home.” We all have innate telepathy and we all have innate intuition. Also our angels and guides are always trying to communicate with us. We have only to listen. Nothing really strange about it. It’s normal and natural.

Once while resting after nursing my youngest child, I clearly heard a voice say, “You need to call Grandma Joe and tell her you love her and hope she finds her peace.”  Now I wasn’t thinking of her, I haven’t spoken to her in over 20 years…she is a narcissist and hurt my family and myself tremendously. 

Often, narcissists feel that they are the most “giving” people in the world. They truly do not understand that they are perceived totally differently by most people. They do not understand the consequences of their actions.

I would be the last person to tell her this and yet I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had to do this…an unbelievable feeling of love for her and sadness at the choices in her life filled me..I tried to call her to tell her that I love her and forgive her, but was unable to reach her for two weeks as the day I heard the voice, she was taken to the hospital due to a stroke and was then in a rehab.  I did finally speak to her and told her I love her and that if she ever needs me that I am here for her.  The most beautiful feeling of love and light filled me, it was beautiful!

You are very compassionate. Forgiveness is very powerful. Often people feel they have done their forgiveness work, but they’ve only really done it on one level – the physical, earthly level. Forgiveness must also be done in spirit as well. I think you just discovered this. Good work! It’s very, very forward moving energy.

As of late, I have been having more “dreams” and “feelings”.  I’m OK with the “flashes” or the “gut feelings.”  However, just recently, I began to get information..can’t explain it. It just comes into my head.

I understand completely. This is perfectly natural as well. These are your angels and guides communicating with you. Sometimes when people just begin to come awake to their abilities to communicate, they do get rather freaked out. When this happens, simply move the ego-self aside and accept this communication as normal, because it truly is.  Personally, I’d be more freaked out if I didn’t hear “voices.” I’ve been hearing them all my life and I do consider myself perfectly sane. Again, to hear these communications clearly, one must step aside from what they “think” they know. The linear mind can definitely play its own tricks.

As we move more toward ascension and energetic shift, the veil between this earthly world and the other realms begins to thin. So it makes communications with other beings more clear as never before.  The goal is to be able to step aside from the “self” and just let the information flow through.

I was at my girlfriend’s house..She had a fire that someone set and believes she know who it was. We went for a walk in her neighborhood and were talking…all of a sudden I felt like I walked into a wall of negative “scary” energy..I wanted to walk away fast from this house we were in front of, I had never felt anything like this before, yet I couldn’t just
leave.

This is called “empathic ability.”  Normal. Nothing to be afraid of. It’s a great gift.

I had to “look” at a certain spot and then I walked fast, trying to “shake” off this feeling…my girlfriend was freaked because out of the 50 houses we walked past, it turns out that was the house the kid lived in that she thought had set the fire…as we continued to walk home, as we got closer to her house, I ’saw” him walking, like I was re-tracing his path to her house that night.  When we got home, she started to tell me how strange that was that I would “feel” that house.

She then started to say how angry she was at him and all of a sudden I “got” this feeling of sorrow for him. I told her that he is weak and lonely, boredom and that it wasn’t him that set the fire, but this other side of him that takes over
because he is weak…I said we had to pray for him and she started to say but what if he comes back, I got very clearly that he wouldn’t that this had nothing to do with her, but that it was random on his part, he just had the need to do it.

Empathic ability helps people heal. This is a good and fine gift. Often Empaths help in police investigations. Very helpful to all.

She said but what if the fire took over the whole house? Her Dad who’’s 88 would have died. All of a sudden I had a “flash” of what I believe was an angel…very tall, it’s shoulders were above my head, I can’t tell if it was male or female, it feels like both, but I felt such a sense of love and peace and protection.

Angels often appear as androgenous. Here on Earth we have the “created” concept of male and female for reasons of physical procreation and also for identification and labeling.  Gender is not necessarily a factor in the other realms. We often believe that our earthbound perceptions are the same in other realities. This is our egocentric point of view, but the truth is just because things appear one way in this earthbound illusion, it does not mean they are this way everywhere else.

I ’saw” this in front of the window where the fire was started. .I turned to her and said nothing would have happened, that there was an angel standing there and that although we all have free will and this kid had to do what he did, that the angel protected them and nothing physically would have happened. 

If we only knew how protected we are. Fear truly is an illusion.

 It is because of this vision and feeling of the angel that the horrible feelings that were still with me from the house finally went away. I actually walked over to the window and stood where I saw the angel. You would think that this spot where the fire damage was would feel terrible, but it was such a wonderful sense of love and peace it was as if I bathed in that energy to rid myself of the negative energy I encountered.  As I stood there, all of a sudden, I HAD to tell her the name Robert/Robbie…I said that I have to tell you this…it is going to mean something. I don’t know why, but it’s
like I had to tell her, I couldn’t get rid of the feeling…this was at 10pm.

Spirit is very persistent. Gentle, but persistent. If you keep being prompted to do something, it’s probably your angels. This is where we must use discernment. As I said, one can tell if it’s Spirit because it’s gentle and persistent and won’t hurt anyone, but it will help them. That’s how you know. Look to the fruits, to the results. And try to remember that as a message bringer, it’s not about you. It’s about the message.

We then had some coffee and dessert and girl-talk and went to bed. The next day, we enjoyed ourselves and made an early dinner and ate at 3:30 with her parents.  After wards, we took her dad for a walk. We asked him which way he wanted to go, left or right, he turned right and off we went with him pushing his walker. As we got a bit farther, he wanted to give up so I started cheering him on. There were people putting trash out two doors down and they started cheering him on too.

As I got to their house, a little boy of 7 came out and said hello. He was adorable, he had Down’s Syndrome and gave me a hug, I asked his name and he said “RJ.”  His mom came over and introduced herself. They were from East Orange and were visiting her parents and this was their house that they were at.  She told me that RJ had Down’s
Syndrome and I said that he was adorable and perfect the way he was and that I was a special education teacher and although some people view that as a handicap, I don’t.

I agree. The children that are coming in now are coming in on a very different light ray. They come in knowing who they are and they come with very special gifts. The reason for that is that the current education system must change. Children are being labeled in all sorts of cruel ways that just don’t even make sense. “Learning disabled” is misnomer indeed. These children learn in multi-dimensional ways and are being made to feel there is something wrong with them because they have trouble learning in a linear fashion. Truly this has to change. It’s really no different with someone that has Down’s Syndrome. They are very, very special people who bring great gifts. It’s also very important for parents of these children, whether it’s a parent of so called “Learning Disabled” or other, to understand that you were chosen to parent these children. There is absolutely no “failure” on anyone’s part.

My girlfriend and her father finally came to their driveway and my girlfriend began to talk to her as my friend is the Social Worker at my school ad case manages my students.  As we were about to leave, RJ’’s dad walked over and introduced himself to me and said hello, “I’m Robert.”  With that the Mom said “Robbie, she’s leaving, say goodbye.”

My girlfriend and I almost fell over…Robert, Robbie what I was given the night before. I had thought it had to do with the kid with the fire, but now see It happened as a confirmation for me to not doubt what was I was feeling or getting as the just “knowing’ thing is a new chapter for me.

“Knowing” is known as Clairsentience. Perfectly natural. And getting names is a very big gift. Not everyone can do that.  Because names are vibration and don’t necessarily translate into something that we can fit into our vocabulary here. So, this is a wonderful gift!

With that said, “I’m OK with the “flashes,” ” just knowing” or the voice that told me to call my grandmother  however, the feeling thing.

These are Empathic ability and Clairsentience as I mentioned previously. We must learn to love and accept ourselves the way we are.  To be anything other than what we are is not the truth, but it is illusion.

Picking up the bad energy…this SCARES me!  How do I protect myself and stop from carrying this with me? 

Very simply understand that this energy does not belong to you. Take a detached view of it. It’s not energy that’s attacking you or trying to hurt you. It’s energy that is or was and it certainly and very simply does not belong to you. To be a conduit of Spirit, to be a bringer of information, to be a messenger, is a wonderful thing because it helps people move forward. You’re simply a vessel. A channel. And if you think about the word “channel,” one definition in say for example, boating terms, is a place where deep things can pass through. See?

I pray for God to surround me with His love and light and for my angels to surround me, but I’m still afraid and I know fear is dangerous.

We are always protected and safe. As with any fear one must really get to the root of it and ask themselves what they are really afraid of anyway? Death?  We are safe, protected, loved, and very guided. Fear can be a good and healthy thing because its genetic purpose is for survival and we are basically programmed to fear death. However, in what we’re talking about here you really have to ask yourself then in what way is your survival being threatened? People tend to fear things they do not understand. If you understand what I said previously about channels and messengers, then maybe you can come to understand there is nothing to be afraid of.

I also want to be able to control this…to turn it Off and On…as of now, things just come…wherever and whenever.

This really just is a matter of practice and point of view. If you understand that this functions as a radio, maybe that helps you. To use a radio you have to plug it in. Then you have to turn it on. Then you have to tune it in to a particular station. It’s the same with these gifts. Turn it on, tune it in. Otherwise it’s just not on. We cannot go around as open receivers all the time. We must learn that it is ok to make a boundary. In public do you feel that you must talk to and engage with everyone in the grocery store? Of course not. You have a boundary. You have a shopping space. If you want to talk to someone you do. If you don’t you just don’t. Must we answer the phone every time it rings?

I feel that I could have picked up more at that house, but was afraid of the energy there…how can I feel secure and safe so that I can get all that I’m supposed to from it and not let my fear stop me?

Hopefully, what I just said helps you do that. There is nothing to be afraid of unless as I said you are afraid to go out in public or afraid to not answer the phone. And I do know that some people are and that’s ok. But my point is that you do have control. You are not a victim unless you believe that you must be one. Also try to get these words in your vocabulary: “I am willing” and “I am not willing.” You get to choose. That is the beauty of the gift of free will.

Does any of this make sense to you…do you get ‘flashes” or hear things or sense things or just know??? 

LOL! Of course. I think most people do actually. But some just persist in having their radio permanently turned off or so low they can’t hear anything but white noise.  As a messenger, I’ve been asked to do a lot of things that have seemed very strange and I’ve delivered many messages. Sometimes that has been uncomfortable. Sometimes people want to hear and sometimes they don’t.

My point is that I’ve been willing to deliver them most times and sometimes not. It’s my choice. And in that delivery I detach. It’s not that I don’t care, because I do care very much about what I do. I’m just very clear on what is my issue and what is not my issue. I bring forth the information because that is what I signed up to do here on Earth, and everyone or anyone gets to take the information and do what they choose to do with it. I am not attached to the outcome of how they use the information or don’t use the information, or even how they perceive the information. It is their choice as it is my choice to deliver or not. Do you see?

My husband believes, but I think he’s afraid and has told me he’s worried about the negative energy and that I may be opening a door I shouldn’t.

Fear blocks love. Why do we assume that this is negative energy? What is the basis of that? Again, fear comes from not understanding. Once we understand something fear goes away.

I am also worried for my oldest daughter. She seems to be sensitive too…one day when she was 3, out of the blue she told me I had a baby in my belly and her name was Madison…she was adamant and annoyed with me that I doubted her, I asked her how she “knew” and she told me she talked to Madison and that she knew she was coming. Now to have my other two children I had surgery and fertility drugs.  We hadn’t been trying for another baby and I had just told my doctor that I didn’t want any more surgery.  Well, 2 weeks later, I found out I was pregnant and sure enough when the baby was born it was a girl and we named her Madison.  If Katharine’s gifts develop as well, I want to make sure that she is able to protect herself as well.

Babies come in with their crown chakras open and trusting. They come in connected to Spirit. That is the baby soft spot on the top of their heads. It closes as a form of “protection” as they fully seat into their earthly incarnations. They also come in “connected” by the umbilical cord and they remain connected until that cord is cut. They don’t come in here with fear. They come in with love. Open, trusting, connected. Fear is learned. Fear is taught. 

Again, we are going to be seeing many great gifts coming from children. They know who they are. They are not afraid and won’t be unless you teach them to be afraid. Examine why you are afraid, who taught you to be afraid, etc. Perhaps you evidenced these sensitivities at an early age as well. And perhaps someone who was afraid taught you to shut that part of yourself down. Truly, we cannot stuff down who we really are. Eventually it just comes back to the surface. Examine your own childhood and see if you can identify the patterns and belief systems that were taught to you regarding gifts of Spirit. Then you can make a decision on what you want to teach your daugher regarding fear.

This is really a matter of learning to harness and focus your personal power. I am being told to tell you it is equivalent of the “Strength” card in a Tarot deck. Your higher self is engaging in a tug of war with your physical being. Do not be afraid of your gifts. To be afraid of them keeps you stuck in ego self and nothing gets created or manifested from that place. The power of everything is in the Love. Yvette, this is about balance for you. Balance the inner and the outer follows. Conversely, balance the outer and the inner can follow.

Angelic guidance is clearly pointing you in the direction of learning to use crystals in healing. This applies not only to the healing of self, but yes, also to any work you do with assisting others to heal. There is much information out there that is available regarding healing with crystals. Please investigate and do some research on this. One place to start, however, is to buy yourself a personal power crystal and program it match your vibratory rate and program it for healing. And learn to use it to help heal and balance yourself. Crystals work in a vibratory manner. Remember Yvette, let go of fear. The power is in the Love.

Dear Overwhelmed:

I understand completely. When we feel overwhelmed, it is important to be able to take one thing at a time. If you look at a messy house or a messy room as whole, it can seem pretty daunting to straighten it up. Whereas if you start in one little corner, focus only on that corner and clean that up, then move to another section and so on, pretty soon you do have a entirely clean area without the “overwhelmed” feeling. So basically, I’m saying to start with that. Start with one little thing that you can change and go from there. And whether we’re looking at a physical mess or a spiritual mess, know that nothing new can enter if we don’t make space for it.  And yes, we do tend to procrastinate when we’re overwhelmed. It’s natural.

To begin to feel better about life we have to get to the root of the matter. What is causing these feelings? I’m sure you know the answer, but I’m feeling like you feel very stuck. Take a look at all your choices that have led you to where you are now. We can’t change those but we can look at the lessons behind the choices. And we can look at what we have learned. And we can take total responsibility for them and move forward from there.

I feel what’s missing here is passion that relates to life purpose. It feels like you’re just going through the motions, not knowing what you’re really here for. How do we change that? By beginning to do things that bring us joy. It really is as simple as that. Do what brings you joy. Choose not to do things that do not bring you joy. When we’re doing things that bring us joy we are beginning to open a pathway to being able to create financially, whether we realize that consciously or not. Examine the times when you felt happy and joyful and figure out why and what you were doing at the time and maybe even who you were with. This will help point you in the right direction. We do all come in with clues about what we came here to do. Sometimes those get lost in the fog of choices. It’s important to know that there aren’t any wrong paths and every path does converge to bring us exactly where we are supposed to be.

So figure out what brings you joy and go do it. Doing even one tiny thing that brings us joy has the power to break the cycle of going around and around in a circle of misery. And if you find yourself telling yourself that you can’t do whatever it is because _______________, then you have to remove the obstacle to _________________. You can do it!

I haven’t written before on an advice page but I have been using Voice of the Angels cards for over  a year now and I always feel the benefit. I am writing to you as my life in a very short time has crumbled very quickly.  My ex-husband who I left in 2003 after years of violence against me has been in court facing charges against children, (very unpleasant charges) I had to give evidence against him in court.  As you can imagine I have been very preoccupied with the process and I fear that I have now alienated my lovely boyfriend. Hello! I’m very happy to hear that you are benefiting from the cards. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve had this very challenging time lately. It takes a great deal of courage to leave an abusive situation and it takes a great deal of courage to testify in court. It’s true that we can’t hear anything from our guides when we are in a state of fear and anxiety. I am happy to be able to help you with this.

My dear, I do not feel you have alienated your boyfriend. I believe he just needs some space right now to figure things out. The quickest way to push him away though, is to stay in your pattern. And that’s one of the things your guides want you to examine right now. It’s as if you took over this abusive pattern of violence perpetrated against you by your ex-husband, and began attacking yourself and kept doing so long after he was gone. Do you see, Dear One?

You are sweet and loving, but must learn to also love yourself completely and unconditionally. That is the message from your guides. Examine who taught you to be unloving to yourself. And then decide if you want to keep that belief system and pattern or not.  You see, we don’t get love and validation from the outside. That has to come from the inside first and it vibrates out. This is how we attract. If you’re vibrating to fear, anxiety, self-loathing, insecurity, and the like, then that is what returns to you. Please try to come to the place where you accept yourself completely and as lovingly as you love and care for your boyfriend.

People want to be with people who love and honor themselves. So give those feelings to yourself as well. You are worthy of them. And for now, my dear, let your boyfriend have his needed space, while you take this time to regroup and gather back your self-esteem and confidence. Then you can present your “new” selves to each other and hopefully move forward, perhaps after the Mercury retrograde. (This upcoming Mercury retrograde period is the perfect opportunity for self-examination and re-evaluation of patterns and belief systems.) Otherwise, you see, you’ve continued to let the ex abuse you. Do you see? That’s the root of the pattern. That’s what has to go.

For some time now, I’ve felt that I’m on a path to a life that I am truly excited about, yet, I constantly appear to get in my own way, and question myself at every step. At the moment, there seems to be little to get truly excited about, and its dull and boring to say the least. I seem to get so ‘caught up’ in getting it right, (your words of “let go” are ringing in my ears:)) that I begin to question my own judgment and base my choices on others thoughts or wants / needs. I know, in my heart & soul that this is not my life’s purpose, but I’m also unsure how to discover & move forward to finding out what that purpose is.

I also (for some reason) still allow my choices to be influenced by my
parents (whom I love to pieces by the way), and they somehow still have the uncanny ability to lay a mighty guilt trip on me (mostly unintentionally) that has me about-face in a choice I’ve made. I’ve discussed this at length with my parents over the years, each time feeling as though I’ve gained a little more ‘freedom’ and sense of self, but it still works a treat. Having said that, I recognise that I am still working through the sense of being responsible for their feelings and happiness, but at the same time, know that they are the only ones responsible for how they feel etc. Where does one start, to release this, and to also find out what our life’s purpose is? When the ‘discovery or realisation’ of life’s purpose is made, is it the end of life here?

Dear D:

There is a lot here and I’m going to take it one by one even though it is all related. When we find that we are in our own way, it speaks to patterns. And those patterns are something someone taught to you. Examine the patterns of those that taught you your own patterns and then try to see the reflection of how those people get in their own way. I believe when you really study the underlying patterns here you will discover some type of fear. And nothing can get co-created from fear. We create and co-create from a position of love. Once you firmly have truly examined these things at their core, from there, you have forward moving energy to change the pattern. You either accept it as your own or you don’t.

When we find ourselves viewing our life as dull and boring, we must rediscover our passions. Decide what you are passionate about and what you are not. Then simply do not engage in things that do not bring you joy. Make a commitment to doing things that bring you joy, rather than engaging in activities that may “please” others. This speaks to the need for outside validation. You can validate your own parking ticket and don’t need anyone else to do it for you.

We are taught in childhood to engage in approval seeking behaviour. But as we grow and mature, no one teaches us to not engage in that. It’s not that one should be self-absorbed, but it’s about being willing to put your oxygen mask on first and then assisting others. There is a very good reason for that instruction. You cannot be of any kind of help or service to others if you can’t breathe.

When seeking to align with one’s life purpose, one really has to go back to who they were/are before someone else told you who you are. Examine what you came in here loving to do. Examine where and when you stopped doing and being that. This is the beginning of aligning with your life’s purpose and it is key that you are WILLING to do that purpose. Being willing is a first step toward alignment.

Truly, no one can really lay a guilt trip on you unless you allow it, and again that is all about what you’re willing to do and what you’re not willing to do. It doesn’t mean that you don’t feel things or that you don’t care. It just means that you are willing to detach from patterns that no longer are helpful and are basically co-dependent.

Get these phrases in your vocabulary: “I am willing” and “I am unwilling.” No one told you that it’s perfectly OK to make a boundary? Our choices are our choices and we should have no regrets about them whatsoever. It seems as if you need to rediscover yourself and accept your choices as your choices even if no one else understands them. You do and that is all that matters. Again, that speaks to self-validation.

The thing to let go of is the pattern of seeking approval. You don’t need that anymore and it isn’t serving you in any constructive way. That said, parents always want what they perceive is best for their children. But parents have to learn to let go too and respect their offspring’s journey, no matter what it shows up as. Just know that it is certainly well intentioned.

One starts always at the beginning. One must always examine the root of a thing. One must also try to see the bigger picture. Groups of people come in here together to teach each other lessons in love. We’re living in an illusion. If you understand that you’ve chosen to be with these people so that you all may learn lessons in love, and improve the soul group dynamic, it begins to give you a bigger picture. But, while you’re stuck going around and around in your patterns you really can’t move forward. None of you can, so you remain doing things that are comfortable and familiar, even in their discomfort to all. So, the first thing to do is to examine the base patterns and figure out everything about them. Figure out the reflection. Then choose. And when one discovers their purpose it is truly the beginning of life here, not the end.

Hello “Love.” You have to examine why this loving feeling is fading away. Energy and matter come together at the perfect time to teach each other lessons in love. Perhaps you’ve learned what you need to learn here already. The spirit knows. However, there is another possibility. Perhaps you are avoiding learning what you’re supposed to learn from this situation. That’s why you should examine the very root of why the loving feeling is fading. Examine whether or not this is a pattern you have in relationships. Do you often find that after a while, in any relationship, that love starts to fade for you? As to whether or not you should tell him, I vote for yes and I’ll tell you why. If you aren’t connecting with someone you are basically wasting your time and theirs. You’ll eventually end up at the same place anyway, so it just becomes a matter of when. It’s one more thing to examine as to why you would be willing to stay in a relationship that your heart is not in.

I am in my own business which has been failing for so many years now and financially I am in a bad way. The fear, stress and worry is crippling me and all my relationships around me.

Let me get to my point. My faith. I am losing my faith and I sometimes find myself wondering if I am kidding myself about God and his angels.

I am praying and asking everyday for a miracle, guidance, anything and I don’t know what more to do. It has been such a long struggle that I don’t know what I have done to deserve this, I have a failed marriage, estranged kids and now a worried new partner. I feel desperate and don’t know where to go from here.I don’t want to give up for fear of total financial ruin. I am really scared. Can I ask the angels to prove to me that they are there and guiding me? Help! I need some kind of advice!!!

There is a lot here and I’m going to try to help you sort it all out in a way that makes tangible sense to you. But let’s start first with the basics. When we are in fear mode, we can create nothing. The power to create comes from Love, not fear, and the two cannot coexist in the same place at the same time. I’m sure you aren’t feeling very loving right now and right there that is enough to immobilize you.

So the very first thing to do is to get out of fear mode because this is what is paralyzing you. This may seem challenging at first, but if you understand that it is in your way and you need to eliminate it, it shouldn’t be that difficult. You can already see how this is crippling your life in every way.

Now, to get to the part about you losing your faith, try to understand faith as something that we pull out when things are going badly, not something we have when everything is rosy. You really do have faith, but the perspective from which you are looking at things is that nothing is nothing is going your way, so you are ready to give up. My dear, first try to understand that failure is an illusion. Please read my blog post on “Success and Failure.” Miracles are not something that happen in a way that we tell them to. We cannot tell the universe to make things show up in a way that we demand it to be so. To try to do so is again, to be in your own way.

Now, let’s take these things one by one. You say you have a business that is failing. If failure is an illusion, which it really is, even if you cannot see it as so just yet, then we can say that this appears to be failing because you are measuring success and failure in terms of money. Ask yourself what is the worst that can happen here? You lose your business? You have to try to come to a place where you are not so terrified of this. Ask yourself why you find this so terrifying and I think you will come up with the answer that you are basing all of your concepts of self-worth and survival on this.

Right now you are defining yourself and your life in terms of money as it relates to self-worth. That has to go in order for you to be able to move forward. The most important part of that is to examine who taught you this pattern? Where did you learn about money? Where did you learn about “success.” Who taught you about “failure?” I think you will find that what is going on now in your life is a reflection of those that taught you such things. Try to see it and from there you can make a decision on whether or not this is your belief system or someone else’s. That’s the turning point.

Now, in terms of the failed marriage, this is not a failure either. It is simply a lesson. Study it and all of the patterns that went on there in the relationship and see if you can find a theme of ongoing patterns. Those are the patterns that tell you that you are not good enough, that you are a “failure,” that you “deserve” or “don’t deserve” based on someone else’s concept of worthiness. That is what you have to clear and eliminate along with the idea and concept of “failed marriage.”

Begin to look at everything as “lessons” and “patterns” rather than “success” and “failure.” Those are the things you need to do to begin to open the flow for the energy of money. Now, begin to wonder what would come after a loss of your business. Is there life after this? Yes, indeed! I can see it, even if you can’t, but you have to let go. And letting go is not the same as giving up. Right now all this is about is that you are simply not aligned with your life’s purpose. It’s like a course correction. It may feel scary, but try to overcome that. Nothing can happen if you insist on pulling the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Isn’t this when we crash into a tree? You see, I believe that if you open up to this concept of something really wonderful happening after you just simply let go, that you will begin to see your life transforming in every way.

Dear Dyan:

I am the mother of two young sons. I love them dearly, but find I lose my patience with them frequently and yell at them. I never demean them by saying ugly things to them as my mother did to me, but I get angry over my oldest not doing the things I ask him to do repeatedly.

I don’t want to be this mean, angry mother. I want my kids to see me as loving, calm, and poised. How do I get there?

I also worry a lot about money. I was raised in poverty and although now we should make enough, somehow there is always lack. I know that it’s me doing this. How can I change my thought patterns? My anxiety over money frequently plays into the ways I interact or don’t with my kids. Please help me.

Dear Letting Go of Fear and Anger:

Children can certainly be challenging. What we’re dealing with here is a pattern. Patterns are taught to us, and good for you that you don’t want to engage in perpetuating the pattern. However, the thing to see here is that even though you aren’t necessarily engaging in verbal abuse, you are still stuck in the pattern. The root of verbal abuse (your mother’s) is anger. And you are angry as well at a root level. You are carrying forward the patterns of your mother, even if you aren’t aware of that. If you want your kids to see you as loving, calm, and poised, you have to BE loving, calm, and poised. So the first thing to do is to make a conscious choice to disengage from the anger pattern. This was taught to you and you’re probably just reacting that way simply because it is an ingrained behavior. If you can see it that way, you have a chance to choose a different way. It is truly a choice.

    So much of this anger has to do with a feeling of not being honored. That’s a big reason why you get angry at your oldest. By not doing what you ask he is blatantly dishonoring you, just as your mother did. The way to move forward is to begin to honor yourself. When is the last time you did something nice for yourself? I can’t promise that this will go away overnight, but clearly the family dynamic has to change and that is entirely up to you. You can’t change anyone else, but you can change yourself and when you change your own vibration, you shift the energy dynamic that exists and flows through the group, Begin to do things that help you feel loving, calm, and poised, because that is your true self. Get a clear picture of yourself when you felt you were at your best and go and do some of those things. You have to try to reconnect with yourself.

    The thing that stands in the way of everything is fear. Being raised in poverty, you are still vibrating to “poverty” and “lack,” even though there is opportunity now to not have that be your reality. There is more to this than changing your thought patterns. Something has to shift at a root, base level because that is where the energy of money resides. The “honoring” energy also resides there. It is good that you understand that you are in your own way, because that is a first step toward change. What we think with our thoughts is not necessarily what we believe with our whole being. You can tell yourself anything you want, but what is translating here is what you feel, not necessarily what you think. So somehow, you need to begin to believe (not think) at a core level that you are safe.

    I’m tuning into your energy and I can tell you that you are safe, that you’ve always been safe. If you look yourself, you will see the same. No matter what, you’ve always been safe and will continue to be so. You know this is true. It’s now only a matter of truly believing that. Take that in, because that is what begins to shift your entire root chakra pattern, and remember that is the pattern that was taught to you as truth. It’s what is stuck here. It doesn’t mean that it is true. It isn’t. Whatever you took in there was someone else’s truth. And believing and knowing and living YOUR real truth is what moves you forward. You ARE calm, and loving, and poised. You are.

Hello Dyan. I recently ended my 16 yr relationship with my common law partner last September.
I am becoming at more peace with myself and my decision. I am getting lots of people saying that good things are coming my way.
I have been hearing it for awhile now and I know things are in divine and perfect order. Do you sense that good things are coming my way? I believe that I am about to embark on my self discovery but find I am stuck and scared to try new experiences. Will this phase end soon so that I may embrace my new phase I am about to embark on? Shelly: It took a lot of courage to end your long term relationship. That was an important step because it was the termination of a pattern. So, somewhere you already have what it takes to move forward and try new experiences. Where we get stuck in phases is when we are in fear, because we can’t create anything from a place of fear. We create from a place of love, and love and fear cannot exist in the same space at the same time. We have to pick one. If you want to end this phase and move forward you have to be willing to let your fears and worries go. And so you need to gather up the very same energy that helped you end your relationship and do something forward moving with it. That energy is the energy that tells you that you are unwilling to be stuck any longer and that you have something to do here.
Yes! I also see good things coming your way. You are now moving toward your life’s purpose. But keep in mind that in order to make that happen you have to DO something. You have to take a step or two forward. Your own intuition is good and you should trust that. You are fine. Get out of fear mode, which is completely paralyzing, and into forward moving mode. Realize that you are in an excellent place because you have opened a pathway to choices. There are no “wrong” moves. You are in charge and you are completely capable. And once you fully realize that you can move forward on the path.

Dyan, I feel like I understand about the Law of Attraction, and that being positive has always helped me avoid the negative. My problem at the moment is that I cannot get away from the negative. I try to put my husband’s recent job lay-off out of my mind, think about positive things, that he’ll get a job tomorrow, that kind of thing, but all I keep thinking about is the past, how he took forever to get a job before, he never wants to work, he always wants to be in charge so he turns people off, etc. I know this isn’t good, and likely he’s thinking negative things as well, because – well that’s just the way he is, so I’m figuring we have a double whammy here and I can’t get him to understand that being positive helps your attitude if nothing else.

So, my question here is, how does one put the negative behind and look at the positive and invision that when so many negative things keep creeping in. I can meditate and I do and am very capable of envisioning things, but for some reason, I can’t make these negatives go away this time.

Any suggestions? I’m quite frustrated with this situation to be sure.

I’m 23 years old and live with my mother. My parents are divorced. My mom is moving to another state soon and I don’t think she wants me to go with her and I don’t think I want to go with her anyway. My dream is to be a singer, but my mom doesn’t seem very supportive of this and neither does my dad. I’m taking voice lessons and piano lessons and I’m paying for those myself. I feel anxious and nervous all the time. I feel very alone. I buy my mom cigarettes and pop and do anything she asks. Why can’t she support me in my dream?

Dear J:

First of all, know that we are never alone even if it feels that way. We are always surrounded by love even if we can’t see it. Parents just want the best for their children. What appears to be non-support from your parents is really just concern. They don’t want to see your dreams get crushed. However, from a spiritual point of view, this is fear based and nothing gets created from fear. The real power is in the love. So follow your heart and follow your dreams and be willing to see where that takes you. There is nothing to be afraid of. There are no limitations unless we believe that there are. The other thing you need to know as you go on your journey is that self-validation does not come from the outside. It comes from inside you. Once you have given yourself that gift, you can shine that out in the form of some very special music. The universe is waiting to hear from you, J. And so am I. Go for it!

My other problem is my mom…
Since my husband has died, she took a role of my protector into her hands,without me asking her to do so, and she is poking her nose into everything and all what I do. And I do not know how to cope with that either….

Dear Oksana:

I am so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your husband. The unexpectedness of such an event can be very disorienting for those left behind. Grieving is a process and you will need time to heal, so be kind to yourself and allow yourself that time. Your son and you must now use this event to come together and you must reach out to him emotionally, even in your own pain and even if he repeatedly shuts you out. Keep reaching out for him. He needs you to set an example. He needs you to be in charge. You say that he refuses to do anything, but Oksana, you are the parent. You must be willing to step fully into that role. You must set boundaries and rules. He needs that structure right now. To help him you must do this, and not let him wallow aimlessly in his grief. He is using computer games as an escape, when truly you must both face and deal with your grief. Try to understand that you are allowing him to do this and when you stop allowing him to do this you will both be able to move forward. You must clearly communicate to him that there are consequences to not going to school, and consequences for not helping around then house. These are not punishment, but rather, consequences. Make these consequences clear to him. Also, it would be helpful to plan an activity to do together that gets you both out of the house. In the short term, what you need to try to accomplish is a breaking of the pattern that your son has slid into here. And try to help him face his emotions rather than push them away. For example, do you have any photographs of your son and his father together? Get them out and if he’s good with the computer, perhaps he can scan them in and make a slideshow or movie from them. This is easy, creative, and forward moving energy. As for your mother poking her nose into all that you do, please try to see the reflection there. She is as concerned about you as you are about your son. Your son may feel that you are poking your nose into all that he is doing as well. It’s a reflection. I suspect she will stop doing that when she feels you are safely and firmly on your path. Show her that you are.

My father has died 5 years ago.

Dear Anna: I am so sorry to hear of the death of your father. Please accept my condolences.

The place to start with this is to ask yourself why you are willing to be restricted. When you find yourself unwilling to be so, this is when the energy will shift. You have free will and you are an adult. No one can make you do anything. You have choices, even if you find those choices uncomfortable at first. You must start believing in yourself and your dreams. Then you must figure out how to accomplish those dreams irrespective of what anyone else says or does. You must validate yourself. Your stepmother may be controlling, but try to understand that you are allowing her to control you. And then ask yourself why. Ask yourself what you are really afraid of. I think you will find out that you are afraid of “failing.” Anna, if there is such a thing as failure it is in the not trying. It is easy to dream, but it takes action to make a dream come true. Begin the process of taking responsibility for your life by starting slowly. Have one night a week for going out with your friends and very firmly state that on Friday you are going out. Then do so, even if your stepmother has a tantrum and tries to make you feel guilty. Eventually, she will have to accept it. Anna, you have the gift of life and you are free to go live it. When you stop perceiving yourself as a prisoner, you will cease to be one.
