The Silver Lining by Jennifer Lynch
Every so often a small easy, entertaining read comes along and with it comes a lot of wisdom and inspiration. The book “The Silver Lining” by Jennifer Lynch is one of those. There are a lot of things to like about this book. One of them is that it speaks on many levels. It’s $10.99 well spent.
1. In your book “The Silver Lining,” we learn that you were adopted. You also teach about manifestation in the book. Do you believe that being adopted has any bearing on someone’s ability to manifest?
Being adopted can impact on feelings of self worth because you may feel a deep down rejection. It doesn’t matter how many times you have been told that you are loved, in my experience the initial rejection stays with you on a sub-conscious level and this needs healing. Yes, I believe that you have to have reached a place where you believe in your own self worth in order to manifest successfully.
2. What do you think is the biggest mistake people are making today in manifestation?
I believe that manifestation comes from being balanced. It is essential to work on your chakras through meditation. Manifestation also comes from the earth. Grounding is also essential as well as being in the now moment where anything is achievable. If your base chakra is not functioning properly because it is not balanced, it will be impossible to manifest.
3. What is the second mistake, if there is one, and what can people do about it?
Manifesting is possible with a non detached attitude (i.e. believing that it is going to happen without questioning how and why. All we need to do is to work on our own energy field and completely believe in who we are. It is achievable if we are able to let go and surrender to new possibilities through self belief.
4. You’ve interspersed your poetry throughout the book. Why? How does it help people?
My poetry has been published in anthologies and also magazines in the UK. I believe that the poetry in “The Silver Lining” reveals a lot of hidden emotion which the reader can relate to on a soul level. It is guided and channeled and it is also healing. When someone identifies with something like a poem, they can often understand a more complex process.
5. What is your definition of the “silver lining” and why is it important?
“The Silver Lining” is an amazing journey. It is my journey but it is also is a book that most people can relate to. It’s aim is to reach out to others to embrace life as it is. Sometimes we miss the silver ‘ining we already have. We may experience hurt and pain in our lives but we also experience a oneness in being part of the greater good or “connected consciousness” which is constantly evolving bringing transformation to us as individuals and planet earth. It is this connectedness which gives us hope and with it a greater understanding of how we experience LIFE!
