A Step Forward Halted
Dear Dyan:
I recently signed up for an on-line Aromatherapy course. This was a pretty important step for me as I finally made a decision that would help me change the path of my life. The class was cancelled due to not enough interest. Now I’m wondering if I should take this as a sign not to start with or take this course and choose another that interests me or if I am completely off base and need to go in a different direction altogether or it’s nothing and wait until the class is offered again. As you can tell I generally overthink things and will continue the discussion internally until I stall again. Any advice or opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your situation is an excellent example of how the universe points the way for us, in spite of what we think we want. It’s good that you like to examine things, because that gives us so many keys. Now to figure out if an aromatherapy course is the right thing for you or not, examine the reasons you were led to this in the first place. You want to change the path of your life. Does an aromatherapy course do that? Perhaps it does and perhaps it doesn’t. Examine why you wanted to take it in the first place. It may be more important to look at deeper issues too, such as “Do I always second guess myself and why? Do I always follow my intuition and why or why not? What am I afraid of and why?” Examining these helps bring you into alignment with your purpose. When we have alignment of purpose, we end up having synchronicity and things just unfold easily and effortlessly. You can look at this situation as an unfolding of sorts as well. We are led. We have only to be willing to go on the path. You are and that’s good. Second step: look to why and where you don’t believe your guidance. Know that things don’t always show up the way we expect, and that in and of itself offers us a valuable opportunity to shift our perceptions and perspectives and see through the illusion.
