Have you ever been inside a "Fun House" at a carnival? It's dark and cramped. There are many mirrors you can see yourself reflected in. And each offers its own interesting and "funny" distortion of you. If we begin to define success in a different way than we were taught to do so, this begins to shine a light on the pathway, rather than keep you confined in a small, dark space of fear. With the light you can move forward more easily and soon you'll be able to see yourself without the distortion. Fear is immobilizing and distorting. Ask yourself what you are really afraid of. Ask yourself whose definition of success you take on as your own. Whose approval you are still seeking and most importantly, why?. Give yourself permission to be who you are and do what you came to do, no matter how that shows up reflected in someone else's eyes. There is no failure. There is only Love. Release other people's definitions and begin to define yourself with Love. Things are more fun that way.

When we insist on staying in our patterns, we render ourselves victims. There is no power in the ego's perception of power. People stay in their patterns because however uncomfortable they may be, they are comfortable. We get very attached to what we think we know, because we perceive it as safe. Fear is what keeps people from moving forward. Today is a good day to examine that fear. And then decide what, if anything you are going to do about it. To move on does not necessarily equate to your concept of death. Life continues.

The energy of summer begins to heat up intensely today and the light can be blinding. If you can find the time it is a good time to examine your inner motivations, as many are poised now for complete transformation. When the ego self feels angry, hurt, or "wronged" this has to do with somehow being attached to outcome. And if we're attached to outcome we are in our own way. There is great power in acceptance. "Accept the things you cannot change." When the drowning person stops struggling they allow themselves to be "saved." When we begin to accept ourselves just the way we are, in all our humanness, we begin to take our power back. Accept what you cannot change. There is always a reason for it.

Today is one of those days with an important lesson. That lesson is that you cannot force energy. We have a very high degree of energy to the planet today. And we are being challenged on all sorts of different levels to learn to work effectively with energy. (Remember that money is energy too!) As we begin to wind up Mercury retrograde, you may find that any unresolved lessons and patterns begin to heat up again. This gives you great opportunity for change. If you’re having a challenging time, please ask yourself once again, “What do I need to learn about this situation?” Sometimes we are just too close to be able to see the forest for the trees. Today and tomorrow are days where you may square up face to face with your patterns. When this occurs ask yourself if you still wear the same clothes as you did when you were ten years old. Ask yourself if for years and years you keep putting on the same clothes over and over again day after day, or after taking a shower. Of course you don’t. Now ask yourself why not. And then you have a key to moving forward, even if it is in linear fashion for now. Any forward movement in Mercury retrograde is good progress.

There is a tendency today for way too much self focus and victimy kinds of behavior. To a degree we are supposed to be self focused because that's what we're looking at in the Mercury retrograde. However, the aspects of the day seem to take you away from the bigger picture kind of a view, and that's where we need to be to make forward progress. So today examine where you are too wrapped up in yourself and what you think you want. And counter-balance that by reaching out to others, not to talk about yourself or your seemingly ongoing woes, but to try to get out of self mode for a while. In this way you can shift not only your energy, but the energy of those around you too. Try to feel the day from a heart centered point of view rather than from an "I want" point of view.

The trick is to take all of the ingredients in your refrigerator and make something out of them before they get moldy. Otherwise, you can sit there and look at them and wonder when someone is going to come cook you a meal. Yes, it's some work to put things together, but you can also have fun doing it if you open to infinite combinations and creativity. Open to that today. Get an idea of what you want to make, assemble the raw ingredients, and then be flexible enough to let it take its own form as you begin to mix and stir.

If you sit there and wallow in previous hurts, insist that someone try to understand your point of view, insist on shoving your own belief system onto someone else, or insist that you be compensated for past wrongs, you are missing the point of Mercury retrograde. Use this time wisely. You truly can make a quantum leap forward if you do so. It’s kind of like the childhood game of leapfrog. Sometimes these leaps can be great fun. We are a product of our experiences here. It’s when we begin to get those experiences into a truthful perspective that we unblock our path. If you think you’ve been abandoned in some way, look again. If you think you’ve been hurt in some way, look again. If you think you’ve been rejected in some way, look again. What is lurking there in the shadows? The real key here is in the “thinking” aspect. The mind can fool the body and spirit into all kinds of things. And the key to moving forward is in the ability to align the mind, body, and spirit. In the same way that you can read words on a page, but not really comprehend or apply them, so it is with this. It’s not that you’ve not been hurt. It’s just that there is a much bigger picture to all of it. Take another look and see what you can come up with today. And please remember to breathe and relax. The full moon energy is very intense, but wonderful for deep introspection. Breakthroughs are right there if you use this special moonlight to your advantage. This moon illuminates the darkness, and in that process a shadow comes more into manageable perspective rather than showing up as some huge, distorted spooky presence.

What does it mean to “integrate?” If we think about integrating we know that it means basically to combine and incorporate things. The problem is that when we are “thinking” we aren’t integrating. To integrate we need to combine and incorporate our thoughts with our feelings. And then align those both with the spirit. Doesn’t that sound relatively simple? It is. Where we get caught up is when we’ve been taught to stuff our feelings down and live life from the thinking part of self. Too much emotion can make us think we’re unstable. Too much living life in the head can make us feel emotionless, passionless and cold. Ignoring our spirit can make us seem disconnected. Today try to balance the triangle of mind, body, and spirit by living fully and integratively.

When we really, really want something we are in our own way partially because of the ego’s attachment to outcome. When you want recognition and acknowledgment these things cannot come to you because you are dictating the way things should show up. This interferes with flow. It is the ego that wants recognition and acknowledgment, not the spirit. Say this instead and watch what happens: “ I release the need for recognition. I release the need for acknowledgment. Instead I focus on my fulfilling my sacred contracts and all that I have come here for finds me easily and effortlessly.”

You may find this frustrating at first, but the challenge is to relax the mind so that new ways of doing things can come in. Nothing can come in if you are focused on what you already know. When we want something and we say “I deserve this,” we are really in our own way. Why so? Because this statement keeps you in entitlement and “de” serving; “not” serving. So in a way you are really creating limitation. Today is a day where you may find yourself continually shifting gears and trying to refocus your efforts. This process will be easier if you remind yourself that power comes from within and from the center. Don’t waste energy trying to get validation from the outside. Give yourself the stamp of approval and all follows from there. Avoid arguments as you’ll just go around and around with the same old dialogue. Break free. Keep in mind that gears are designed to be shifted smoothly and effortlessly. No sense grinding or forcing.

Today is a day for examining connections. This energy has to do with connections of all sorts. If there is someone from the past that you’ve tried to get to see things your way, give it up. Respect the person’s journey and their choices. It really has nothing whatsoever to do with you. If you believe it does, you are truly in your own way. Let them go. If we’re looking at a work connection, you need to study the deep patterns involved there. Do you find some patterns from childhood spilling over into the work sector? Are you looking at “validation” or “authority?” If we’re looking at connection in an existing relationship, figure out if you’re just doing things the way you’ve always done them or if you’re willing to get out of your comfort zone. Examine what it is you need and be willing to plug into it instead of trying to get a current going from the outside. No one else is responsible for your happiness or lack thereof. Cords can’t be plugged in to the source if the electrical socket is blocked and closed.

The energy of the day feels lighter than it has been recently. It seems a good time to pay attention to health matters and all issues of “weight.” A new energy comes in and assists with that today. It’s a good time to start a dedicated plan toward balance and health in body, mind, and spirit. This energy also relates to partnerships. Examine everything you’ve been doing. There is some forward moving energy for making plans, but only if you are willing to stand completely naked and assess the situation truthfully. Taking responsibility for and understanding the past can help move you forward now.

The energy of the day can be used to getting to the root of the matter. You may find things from the past coming up for examination. The challenge is to try to see through the illusion and gain a new perspective on the past. This is key for moving forward. For example, let’s say you feel hurt and resentment toward something you perceive someone did to you in the past. When it comes up again, try to process it differently and don’t lock it inside. Was that person’s intention really to hurt you? Or is it possible whatever transpired between you is designed to help you in some manner? It is by really understanding and letting go of the past that we have a key to opening future doors that have been previously locked.

Today is a good day to examine your goals. Study the underlying pattern of why you set those goals in the first place. Is the ego in the way or are you working in alignment with the universe? If you’re willing to push and shove your way to the top of the heap ask yourself what you will find when you get there. Look at what your perception of what “top” is and where that came from. Where are you trying to get and why? When we examine the underlying reasons (the bottom) for the things we do, we discover much truth if we are willing to look at it. So today is for figuring out the top and bottom of things. Like an Oreo cookie, sometimes the best part of something rich is found in the middle.

Today’s energy is about patterns. The energy of this very intense and powerful moon can be used to get to the very depths of what lies beneath. What matters is what you do with it. You have the choice of doing what you’ve always done, or taking whatever it is and facing it head-on, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel. There is a certain gentleness with this "push-pull" energy along with the intensity. The most productive way to use this is to just follow along with it, like you would ride a wave. There is no need to struggle and consequently be pulled under, unless that is where you want to be. Just ride it instead. Be gentle with yourself and others, and all is well.

Every day we are faced with the gift of choices. Today is a day where you need to examine those choices and figure out if you are in your own way or not. And sometimes the truth is difficult to face. But once you face it, whatever it is, it can be a relief to be able to move forward without a lot of unnecessary baggage. Be willing to put in the work necessary to achieve results and be unwilling to allow someone else to knock you off your center. Today is an exercise in focus, personal power, and choosing to travel comfortably with a backpack instead of a trunk. What's in there that you cannot possibly live without?

The intense energy of the past week begins to wind down a little bit as we’ve made decisions and tied up loose ends. We can see forward progress now. What did you learn about yourself in the past few days? If, upon examination, you find yourself still struggling with and engaging in old patterns, you’ll have opportunity to work on them again very soon. Often we are in our own way and don’t even realize it. Self-examination isn’t usually comfortable, but it’s necessary to the next steps on the path. So try to be open and honest with yourself. It’s up to you whether those steps are uphill or not.

There are many things that can stand in the way of forward progress. One of the biggest of these is the ego's need for validation and recognition. Examine why you need this outside validation. Examine exactly what you have done lately to stand in your own way. What underlies this need of validation is the "not good enough" energy. The "not good enough" energy resides in the second chakra. Who told you you weren't good enough, smart enough, valuable enough, good looking enough, talented enough? These are someone else's perceptions and judgments that you have taken on as your own. When we have this type of energy block it inhibits the "birthing" process. How can you gestate anything if the area designated for that is filled already with self doubt, self loathing, entitlement, and regrets? Expel these things and you will find that you now have room for the seeds of something new to grow and blossom. It's Spring so it's a good time to plant. But you cannot plant anything and nothing can grow to fruition if you haven't done the work necessary to prepare the field, or aren't willing to do the work necessary to cultivate and tend to the field. Dreams can become reality if you're willing to get out of the way of the heavy equipment.

When we are attempting to impose our will on universal will, the results will be not what is expected. To co-create, to manifest, one needs to have their will aligned with universal will. Today is a good day to just “be.” However, there is an undercurrent of anticipation as you wait for events to unfold. And there is an element of the unexpected. This may show up as a gift of kindness. When we’re just enjoying “being” we have opportunity to be grateful and we have opportunity for connection on different levels. Being grateful begins to open up an energy pathway. It’s a step in letting go and letting go is a very necessary part of manifesting. So, for today, just “be” and see what happens.

What’s important is what we do with that influx of unexpected energy. Make the best of any situation. Use this energy to change a deeper pattern. Pick your battles and don’t waste energy on something that isn’t going to change no matter how hard you push. Everything is a matter of perspective. The truth is this is an exercise in staying on your center. If you can do that today and tomorrow amidst unexpected events, you can do that again in the future. There is always a purpose in everything, no matter how it appears.

You’re ambling down the path thinking you’ve made some good progress. Suddenly, appears an obstacle. But is it an obstacle, or is it an opportunity? If you view it from all angles, instead of just from your fixed position on the path, you might just discover something new. And through this is where we have opportunity for transformation. You can move the obstacle aside, but you might not be able to do so yourself. You might need some help in the form of another person, or a tool of some sort. You can climb over it or jump over it, perhaps. You can ignore it. You can run in the opposite direction. Maybe you can just go around it. Or you can stare it right in the face, connect with it on some level, and find out what the true purpose of it is. Any way you choose to look at it, the challenge today is to take something that seems to be a problem, and transform it into a vehicle for change. And have fun while doing it. Rise to the challenge and you will find yourself rising above it all, as if you have sprouted wings.

If you told a child that he was going to ascend and transform, he might be scared and have resistance to that. If you told a child instead that he was going to grow, he may perceive that to be a good and exciting thing. Everything is perception. The energy of the day may be a bit confusing as you ponder the need to grow and change and make the transition from childhood to adult. As we know, this is a process and nothing to be feared. We don’t wake up one morning, look in the mirror, and suddenly discover that we are bigger than we can handle. Take the day in stride no matter how it appears.

This is my first Daily Channeled Message on the new site. Actually, I'm just trying it out to see if I can operate the new system. Daily Channeled Message will officially return in the first week of April. I'm looking forward to it. It's like I have a month's worth of channeling all in my head.  We've had a lot going on here in the last month and now you can see all of the exciting new changes. Whew! Remember to breathe today as you may deal with some unsettling delays, frustrations, and technical difficulties. It may seem as if you're spinning your wheels, but some progress can be made. If you've ever been on a diet and reached a pleateau you may relate to this sensation. The mind is asking the body if it wants really wants what it thinks it wants. That's the energy of the day. Don't force it. Just go with the flow and do what you can do. Leave the rest for another day. When we're on a plateau there is a reason. Patience is needed. While you're there, look around and enjoy the view. It may be one of the few things you can do.

Today is a day where things may seem not quite right. This may be wrong and that may be not what you expected. The guidance today is just to roll with it all. However it shows up is how it's supposed to be. It's temporary. Improvise.

Today is a day where you may feel somewhat overwhelemed by all that needs to be done. Take things in little bytes and know that everything will get done when it does. Today's energy also has some kind of eerie quality about it, as if things just aren't quite right. No you are not in the twilight zone. This is the energy of Mercury coming in and Mars getting ready to go out. It's transition. Today is a day where you may find yourself confronting old issues from the past that you thought you had already resolved. Did you learn to stay on your center or do you fall for it again? Nobody or nothing can upset you unless you allow it. If you're allowing it study the deeper issue as to why. And then figue out what you're willing to do about it. Mercury retrograde is right around the corner and it's a perfect time to address old wounds and issues, but Mars will be going direct as well so that's forward moving energy. The idea for now is to find new ways of dealing with old challenges.

When you're little someone else dresses you and tells you who you are. Who dresses you now?

Daydreaming and musing serves a good purpose if you can bridge the gap between those and concrete actions. Today is a good day to take all of your previous dreams and figure out where they fit in your life. Make a plan for the future. There are no limitations unless you believe there are.

In golf, one must first get the ball into position, address the ball, position oneself, swing and follow through. Today is a day where you may have all sorts of grand ideas but no way to implement them or no follow through at the moment. Don't worry. It will all come together at the appropriate time and then you will be able to play through anything that's in your way. The key is to not get frustrated and know that all things are weaving together for the highest good. You cannot force the ball to land on the green by sheer will or force. You have to line things all up and get yourself into a position to be able to help it fly through the air and land there gracefully on its own.Give that all some time to come together on the golf course of life. Otherwise you may find yourself in the sand trap.

Today is a day where things can finally come into focus, however, while you're focusing on one thing, another may get a little off the track. Try to be multi-dimensional and multi-tasked today as you prepare for the upcoming Mercury retrograde. Back up your computer now. Scan for viruses if you don't regularly do so. This will save you some aggravation later. You may also have a few surprises today and they may come in the form of a letter or e mail. When faced with the thought of a surprise, pay attention to where your mind goes. Are you immediately thinking it's something "bad" or are you open to infinite possibilities? Focus on the "good."

When we judge something we're viewing it from our own perception of how things are. When you open your mind to other ways of looking at things you begin to clear pathways to abundance and everything else. Fear is an illusion. Judgment is a perspective. Nothing can fly to the heavens if it's grounded by earth bound ropes and chains. Today try to see things through different eyes.

If you're having a hard time keep in mind that you are where you are for a reason. Don't ever forget that angels and guides watch over you even if it seems as if you are alone. You are not alone. Sometimes the soul chooses certain paths to better teach itself about love and self-love. You can overcome and conquer if you reflect on what you have learned, what you're supposed to learn and what you will ultimately do with it all. Do not buy into the illusion of separateness. Who would you really be without the choices you have made and the interesting and challenging journey you've chosen for yourself.? Take it all and do something positive with it. That's how you transform it. For Today: You may find it challenging to focus today, but try to stay on task if you can. If you do you'll see results. The energy of the upcoming Mercury Retrograde seems as if it's beginning to exert its influence already. If you keep this in mind you'll be prepared for what may seem like the unexpected and you'll be able to effectively deal with it. Finish up what you can before next week.

It will be easy today to have cross words with someone over basically nothing. Keep in mind that if this happens you're coming from your own stubborn point of view. Right or wrong, leave room for human error and remember that to forgive you have to be willing to come off your ego position. Make up. To not do so is a waste of resources and energy. Wrap the situation up in angel wings and send it up to the heavens. Let it go.

What may appear to be a series of mishaps or missteps may be just perfect the way it is. If you can figure out what the underlying issue is you can move forward. It's all in how you look at it. There are no mistakes. There are no errors. There are no limitations unless you think there are. There is illusion and there is perspective. There are guides and angels. There is truth.

Have you ever heard, "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it?" Today is a day where you could suddenly find that all excuses are stripped away and you're facing having what you want or being able to get what you said you wanted. There is the bridge right before you. Now you're at choice. With all excuses stripped away what do you do? Do you simply freeze, do you burn your bridges, do you turn around and walk back into an old pattern? Or do you gather your courage, trust, cross the bridge and move forward into the unknown?

When we believe in limitation we are in our own way. We block our path. When we say "I can't" we perpetuate the illusion of limitation. Start asking "How can I...?" instead. And then believe with your whole self that the "how" will open without you telling it "how." And at the heart of the belief in limitation is FEAR. So figure out what it is you're really afraid of, release whatever it is and move forward. There is nothing in your way unless you believe there is.

The energy of today is about two steps forward and one back. In fact that influence feels like it will be with us for the next few weeks. What do you do with that? When you move forward, you celebrate. When you take a step back, you examine and introspect and see where you can change the pattern at a very basic level. If the pattern is about being stuck, figure out what you can do to get unstuck. In order to get unstuck you'll first have to be willing to take responsibility for the creation of where you are now. That is the first step to being able to take a step forward. Steps aren't necessarily up and down. Steps can be forward and back. It helps if you look at the entire thing as dance steps instead of as a flight of stairs where you are going up and down. Ask yourself where you are trying to go? And then try to find the simple joy in the movement.

Today can turn out to be a stellar day for moving forward. Finally, finally, it may feel as if you're getting somewhere instead of spinning your wheels. Keep moving forward and keep the faith. Remember, faith isn't something that we pull out when convenient. It's something we either have all the time or we don't. Today is also a good day to examine your deeper motivations and intentions. What is driving you? And that is key. Would you rather drive or be the passenger? Something to think about as you delve deep into who you really are.

Meetings usually follow an agenda. Why? Because it helps keep the focus on what's important. The task today is to stay on center. What does that mean? It means to stay in the center of your body and keep your focus. It means that you don't let anyone or anything knock you off that center. It means that you don't act or react in the old way to someone or something that irritates you. It means that you actually don't even get irritated by the someone or something. You stay on center. By doing this you are using your energy more effectively and not feeding into someone else's agenda. You have your own. Stick with it.

Use the energy of the day to figure out where and how you are playing a victim role and what you are going to do about it. If you are playing this role, facing the fact that you are acting as a victim could be your biggest challenge today. This is because it is part of human nature to want to live in denial. This is simply part of the illusion. Knowing that, take an objective view, like that of someone sitting in the audience. Look at the actors in your play. Study your role and theirs. Viewing things this way will help you detach a bit so you can see things more clearly. Now, decide if you still want to play or is it time for Act II? You are the Director, Producer, and Star. Rewrite if necessary and see how it plays out.

Today is a day where one might ask themselves if we really are in a new year. It may seem like more of the same old, same old. What's going on? There is some very intense energy out there right now. It may seem as if everything is coming to a head or as if nothing has changed. Keep in mind that if you didn't do your homework last year, the only thing that has changed is the odometer on another year. Today try not to let little annoyances bother you in a big way. Keep these things in perspective. Little annoyances are little annoyances unless you make them big. If you find yourself making small issues into large ones it is because there is a much bigger issue underneath. Try to see what it is but keep in mind the challenge of the day is not only to uncover the root, but to get it all in perspective. It isn't really a great time to take action, but it is a great time to focus the camera and figure out exactly what you want in your picture.

I know you all want predictions for 2008. Listen to my interview on Jay Grayce's radio show (Tribeca radio from NY) encore broadcast January 3rd, 10 PM EST where I give some predictions for 2008. As a collective consciousness, we will all be working on eliminating old patterns as we ascend to the new. Those that insist on taking their old patterns into their new lives will be challenged the most on a root chakra level. What is a root chakra level? This has to do with issues at the base of a matter. Issues having to do with money, self-worth, relationships, family and sex will be challenged. The universe is asking you to remember who you really are and raise your energy up to engage your upper chakras. Anything in the root chakra will be challenged to be lifted up, elevated and transformed. The time is at hand. We will no longer have the luxury of wallowing in these issues. So go back to the past if you need to and clear that all up so you have clear space.

I see a shift in collective consciousness toward the end of 2008. The energy gets higher as we begin to integrate and transform the energy at the base. This ultimately makes us all stronger. So how do we begin to do that at the start of this new year? First clear up old loose ends. Get rid of what you don't need. Keep what you do. At a very base level this means getting papers in order, cleaning out drawers and closets and desks and houses. Clean up and make room. You will have until about the 3rd week in February to get these things in order.

Why is this so important? One reason is because in March and April we will see a lot of people changing their geographic locations. It's about transition. Those of you that did not do so in October or November, 2007 will find a possible move coming. Those that do not physically move will find opportunities for fresh starts in other areas. Some will find relationships of very long duration now ending.

It is very important between now and March/April to stay grounded and centered and balance the chakras. Those that choose to remain in their current relationships will find the energy shifting there as well. This is a year for for all things co-dependent to shift and morph into the higher. This is a year where old patterns in relationships no longer work. And what you will find about this in many instances is that these changes and splits and transitions in relationships happen very suddenly or what may seem like suddenly. If you think about it, some of these relationship issues have been brewing and simmering for a long, long time. What you will find is that all of a sudden the unsatisfactory energy of these will no longer be acceptable to you. And you will also discover that old patterns of relating no longer hold fascination for you. You will want the truth. You will want some depth and meaning to your relationships.

So as you go along this year think about everything you're doing as an opportunity to shift, change, grow, transition, and ASCEND. This is key for 2008.
