We will be experiencing an upcoming solar Eclipse on September 11, 2007 at 18 degrees in the sign of Virgo, the natural rular of the sixth house opposite Pisces. To find out what this means to you, keep reading:
Solar Eclipses occur when the Moon stands between the Sun and the Earth cutting off the light of the sun. Lunar Eclipses occur when ther Earth stands betwee the Moon and the sun cutting off the light of the Sun from the Moon.
How do Eclipses operate?
1. Eclipses are dramatic wild cards. They cause us to be uncomfortable and shake up our thinking so we can move forward to a new level of thinking.
2. Eclipses have more weight than events brought on by a full moon.
3. Eclipses can bring on fated events.
4. If an eclipse affects your chart it will bring unexpected changes of direction.
5.The eclipse, to become a force to be reckoned with, does not have to fall in your sign.
6. Eclipses bring news of benchmark proportions: births, deaths, marriages, promotions, important travel, business deals, a new place to live, partner or roommate vacating without warning, children suddenly and unexpectedly leaving home, rewards for hard work, catapulting you to fame---or a reality check with many difficulties transpiring forcing you to examine your behavior.
7. Eclipses act as course correctors.
8. Eclipses shine a bright light of truth into the part of you touched by the eclipse.
9. Eclipses can bring enlightenment and an astute awareness of a situation. you many see, perhaps for the first time, the true character of those who play a major role in the eclipse. It is as if you have been working on a puzzle and one piece is missing and not to be found. Along comes an eclipse and lo and behold the missing puzzle piece comes falling out of the sky and fits right into place.
10. Eclipses bring maturity and seasioning into our lives whether or not we ask for it.
If the eclipse does not affect you personally, there will be plenty of action around you---in your circle of friends, family and the world at large (via the news media). Life begins to move at a speeded up rate: fast forward or great acceleration.
With all Eclipses: Something ends and something else begins. You may feel like you are walking across a bridge to a brand new place. It is most unlikely that you will ever be able to go back where you originated from.
DO NOT initiate under an eclipse but rather react, respond, and listen. Consider the ideas of others at this time. Do not make any decisions or proposals of your own at this time. The ancients wrote, "If you act in haste the plan will never work out the way it was planned."
You should not try to start anything new within a 7 day period just before an Eclipse. Prior to an Eclipse things are unstable and situations can turn out in a way that is totally unexpected or prove abortive. The day after the eclipse is alright for starting new projects.
Take time to consider all proposals very carefully, think about all aspects of what is happening prior to taking any action. You could be feeling more emotional now than usual. If you decide, after careful condsideration, that you like what is happening, then proceed. There may not be much time, so be nimble and quick, BUT above all, have your wits about you.
Keep your schedule normal to light.
If you suffer a loss, such as a loss of job, breaking up with a sweetheart, it's the other person that may have acted in haste. So, remember the time rule of an eclipse; "React rather than act."
Eclipses bring events that you thought were months or even years ahead that happen immediately and can't be ignored.
When are Lunar Eclipses felt?
1. Many of them are felt within four days of the actual event. Sometimes you can feel a full moon lunar eclipse as early as 2 weeks prior and up to 6 months later. If it doesn't happen immediately it most likely will be felt a month to the day later, plus or minus a few days.
2. Take notice of news and signals you get near the eclipse. The news can be (a) dramatic and obvious of (b) subtle - such as in the form of gossip. But, it will be quite tellng of rather dramatic changes to come.
3. Some Eclipses can be felt as long as 4 to 5 years later depending on what planets will transit the eclipse point down the road.
How do Solar Eclipses differ from Lunar Eclipses?
1. Solar Eclipses emphasize beginnings - even though something may be ending, the emphasis is more on the start than the finish.
2. The changes could phase in within a few months and last up to a year or more.
3. The news and timing of those changes often come as a surprise.
4. Any eclipse that falls on or within a few days of your birthday you can be sure the effects of it will be felt over the course of the year.
5. The changes that occur will be completed by the time you reach your next birthday.
We need to be aware of certain things with the onset of Eclipses:
Eclipses belong to a much larger pattern than is visible with the naked eye. Eclipses belong to a family of eclipses and run in cycles. These cycles can run as long as 1000 years, thus making the prediction of patterns within a given cycle very difficult to discern. These cycles have come to be known as the Saros Series.
Each Series it seems, produced a succession of eclipses occurring in an 18 year span. In order to fully understand the eclipses and their journey, one must delve into the study of eclipses and the Saros Series in depth. Excellent references for this are two books that I highly recommend: The Eagle and the Lark by Bernadette Brady (1972) and Eclipses by Celeste Teal (2006) ( See below for further information).
As you can see by this abbreviated article on Eclipses there is much to be learned, observed, and lived during an Eclipse.
We will be experiencing an upcoming solar Eclipse on September 11, 2007 at 18 degrees in the sign of Virgo, the natural rular of the sixth house opposite Pisces. The Eclipse in Virgo brings up the area of health related issues and its opposite sign Pisces is the 12th house of Rehabilitation, Hospitals and Nursing Homes, and behind the scenes activities. These areas may be coming up for some real overhaul, which is long overdue.
But Eclipses can go either way...They can be very stressful or seem to have no effect at all...be very exciting with positive results or be the harbinger of difficult times. My reading is that this Eclipse will have great influrence on the outcome of the elections next year.
While Astrology can tell us what can happen, in in the final analysis the people will decide what will happen.
